UPDATE: Chris Colfer wins for Best Supporting Actor in TV Series, Mini-Series, or Made-for-TV Movie. He gave an awesome, and heartfelt anti-bullying acceptance speech.

2nd Update:  Best Original Song went to Diane Warren for “You Haven’t Seen the Last of Me” from Burlesque. Carrie Underwood…shut out!  Jennifer Lopez made the presentation…there could have been an Idol party!

3rd UpdateJane Lynch wins for Best Supporting Actress in TV Series, Mini-Series, or Made-for-TV Movie

4th Update: Lea Michele loses Best Actress in a TV Series Comedy or Musical to Laura Linney for The Big C.

5th Update: Matthew Morrison loses Best Actor in a TV Series Comedy or Musical to Jim Parsons for The Big Bang Theory.

The Golden Globes are tonight! And I’ll be live blogging the fun right here! Fun you say? What’s awesome about the Golden Globes–the audience GETS DRUNK, so you never know what’s going to happen next. And, with the sublime and hilarious Ricky Gervais hosting again this year…well needless to say, I’m looking forward to tonight’s telecast.

Plus, the winners of the Golden Globes often foreshadow who will walk away with an Oscar come Spring.

Idol related nomination? Yep. Carrie Underwood is nominated for Best Original Song for her song “There’s A Place For Us” co-written with David Hodges and Hillary Lindsey for the film The Chronicles Of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. Carrie is expected to be sitting in the audience tonight. Jennifer Lopez is expected to present.

Plus, Glee is nominated for 5 awards: As a group for Best TV Series — Musical or Comedy, and 4 acting awards–Chris Colfer and Jane Lynch for Best Supporting Actor/Actress in TV Series, Mini-Series, or Made-for-TV Movie and Matthew Morrison and Lea Michele for Best Actor/Actress Musical or Comedy.
