Nickelodeon today announced the nominations for the 2016 Kids’ Choice Awards. Hosted by country singer and The Voice coach, Blake Shelton, Nickelodeon’s 2016 Kids’ Choice Awards returns to the Forum in Inglewood, Calif., live on Saturday, March 12, at 8 p.m. (ET/PT).
“The nominees are out now and I can’t wait to see who wins,” said Blake in a statement, “We’ve got categories for everybody – TV, movies, video games, actors, singers, everything you can think of. It’s all in there. Make sure you get out there and vote, and we’ll see you at the show.”
Beginning today, kids can cast their votes across 22 categories on Nickelodeon’s digital platforms including Nick.com and the Nick app on iPad, iPhone, Kindle, and select Android devices. Users will be able to vote on Nickelodeon’s Twitter feed using #KCA and the hashtag of their favorite nominee. Fans also can join in on the slime-fest by going to Nick.com/kca16, the official destination for everything Kids’ Choice Awards, for hilarious videos, quizzes, photo galleries and get the latest KCA news on this year’s show and nominees.
Blake missed out on an ACM nomination, but at least he’s got a nod for a Kid’s Choice Award in the Favorite Male Singer category. There is also a Favorite Talent Competition category that includes American Idol, The Voice, America’s Got Talent and Dancing with the Stars. The Favorite Group in music category includes Fifth Harmony, Maroon Five and One Direction.
