I don’t know if it’s a last minute decision of Lord Nigel Lythgoe, but he tweeted today that tonight’s results will be decided by AMERICA. The top vote getters will not be revealed…

Also, American Idol’s Pia Toscano taped a performance of her single “This Time” this morning with Michael Orland before she took off to join the rest of the Top 11 in Milwaukee tonight for Idols Live. Stay tuned for Pia, not-live, later in the show…

Nigel Lythoe tweets, “So that we don’t reveal the top 2 tonight only the bottom male and female will be revealed and sent home. America’s vote stands! Kent and Lauren back together on #SYTYCD tonight.”

Pia Toscano taped her SYTYCD performance this mornin and and immediately headed to Milwaukee to join her fellow Top 11 contestants for tonight’s Idols Live show. (Via @Blkeener and @MichaelOrland)

David Cook will perform the National Anthem at the Kansas City Cheif’s home opener on September 11.

More deets on the release of Scotty McCreery’s debut album and his upcoming music video. The music video will debut on both CMT and GAC. A documentary style special detailing Scotty’s post-Idol journey will debut on GAC in the fall. You can pr-order Scotty’s CD at his website HERE.

Folks who have pre-ordered Scotty’s album tell me it’s set to ship on Oct. 4. (Lauren’s will ship on Oct 11)
