Ace Young’s Birthday Bash

I would sooo be going to this party if I lived on the west coast!  Ace Young is celebrating his birthday by throwing a party at a yet-to-be-disclosed club in Hollywood, CA,  to benefit The Denver Children’s Hospital.  It will be a red-carpet media event, and Ace has provided 100 tickets to his fan-based fund-raising group Highrollers with Heart for sale to fans at $100 each.  For more information, check out the HRwH website.  This event caps the 26, 000 in 26 days fundraiser going on right now.  If you’d like to donate to the cause, there’s more information here.

Elliott Yamin to Appear at Richmond Charity Tennis Classic

Elliot Yamin, will join tennis greats Andre Agassi, Steffi Graf, James Blake and Lindsay Davenport at the Genworth Children’s Advantage Classic on December 8th, 2006. Elliott will perform a few tunes in between the mixed doubles and men’s singles tennis matches.

Nine Richmond area charities will receive $473, 000 in grants in anticipation of a sold out event. Those charities include: Big Brothers Big Sisters, Boys & Girls Club, Comfort Zone Camp, Friends Association for Children, Richmond Ballet Minds in Motion, Science Museum of Virginia Career Ladder Program, Stop Child Abuse Now, William Byrd Community House, and YMCA. Any money raised above the $473, 000 announced commitment, will be divided among the nine beneficiary charities.

The Genworth Children’s Advantage Classic will be held at Virginia Commonwealth University’s (VCU) Siegel Center and tickets for the event are available through the VCU box office and all TicketMaster outlets. Ticket prices range from $35 to $125. Go to www.genworth.com for more information.
