Sad news from Take That member and X Factor UK judge, Gary Barlow. He revealed on behalf of himself and his wife Dawn today, that his 4th child was delivered stillborn over the weekend.

“Dawn and I are devastated to announce that we’ve lost our baby,” he said in a statement today. “Poppy Barlow was delivered stillborn on Aug. 4 in London.

“Our focus now is giving her a beautiful funeral and loving our three children with all our hearts. We’d ask at this painful time that our privacy be respected.”

According to E News, “Gary announced the pregnancy to fans back in February, saying at the time that they were ‘a very excited family.’ Dawn was roughly eight-and-half months pregnant when she delivered Poppy, reportedly just two weeks away from her official due date.”

The couple, who have been married for 12 years, have three other children, son Daniel, 11, and daughters Emily, 10, and Daisy, 3.

Gary, along with Take That, had been widely rumored to be taking part in Sunday’s Olympics closing ceremony.

    Poor Gary and Dawn.

Take That member Mark Owen and his wife welcomed a baby girl a week or two ago. And Robbie Williams and his wife are expecting a baby girl, too.

I agree. My first daughter was still born 26 years ago and I still think it is the worst thing I have ever experienced in my life. My heart goes out to them.
