The ratings are in from TV By The Numbers

NBC was the number one network among adults 18-49 and  total viewers.

On NBC night four of the U.S. Olympic Trials scored a 1.9 preliminary adults 18-49 rating. America’s Got Talent earned a 2.8 among adults 18-49, down 13% from a 3.2 on Tuesday night and matching its season low.

On FOX, So You Think You Can Dance earned a 2.0 adults 18-49 rating, down 17% from last week’s 2.4.

America’s Got Talent beat So You Think You Can Dance pretty handily last night, but both shows were down in double digits vs last week. Green Mile/Reveal episodes are not as popular as the regular competition episodes. Both shows will move on to live episodes, beginning next week for AGT and the week after for SYTYCD.

In the meanwhile, Medialife is reporting that SYTYCD is up overall vs last season. Hooray.

And as an aide, The latest episode of The Glee Project was watched by 640,000 viewers on the Oxygen network, on par with last year. It also has a young-skewing audience–of that number 249,000 were in the coveted 189-49 demo. (Via Hollywood Reporter)

Sad about Glee Project only getting a .2 rating. I know the talent show thing is burnt out, but honestly, it’s probably one of the best. Everything they do relates to what they’d actually do on Glee, so it makes for a fun viewing experience for me.

Having Xfinity One gives me an opportunity to watch the Reality Shows I miss.  The best part of the Glee Project is when a Glee mentor shows up.  This last episode was particularly exciting (although no one went home) and Cory was mentor.

A lot of people in my area are on vacation this week. House rentals and hotel rates at the New Jersey shorepoints go up next week because of the 4th of July and then keep increasing through August. So many people are away to take advantage of the lower rates in June. Vacationing may be taking a toll on TV viewership. Plus as the summer goes on, we will have the Olympics and Presidential Conventions that will take viewers away from regularly-scheduled shows.
