The Voice’s Josh Kaufman to Step Into Pippin Early

Josh Kaufman - Pippin

Good news for Josh Kaufman fans! The Voice season 6 winner will be stepping into the lead role in Broadway’s Pippin on October 31 instead of the previously announced November 4 date.

Josh is set to play a limited engagement in the Stephen Schwartz musical through January 4, 2015. He replaces Kyle Dean Massey.

Pippin “tells the story of a young prince searching for his corner of the sky,” according to Broadway.com.

The current cast includes Tony winner (and TV actress) Andrea Martin, John Dossett, Charlotte d’Amboise and Rachel Bay Jones. The Tony-winning revival is directed by Diane Paulus.

Over the weekend, we posted photos of Josh’s amazing transformation into the prince. Will you be attending one of the singer’s performances? I am really curious to see if Josh can act! We KNOW the boy can sing.
