I am looking forward to seeing Kelly mentor.

Looking at the list, it is impossible to tell who has the strongest team.  Cutting the teams from12 to six will make that more obvious.  I love the diversity on this show.

This show is so much fun. I look forward to it the way I once upon a time looked forward to Idol (Idol is boring now). Still don’t understand why X-tina never turned her chair for some really good talent but turned around for the guy with the harmonica and guitar. That guy is just not marketable.

I think Kelly will be a very good mentor. There are some you tube videos of Nathan Parrett and Pip singing together that Nathan posted. They both have great voices. Adam does have the strongest team because he knows how to pick  the good voices.

Wish I could rememeber these people by name because I wanna know who they put alicia keyes background guy up against.  i remember wanting to stick a needle in him to deflate his huge ego.

Gooooo Kelly!  I hope we see more than 35 seconds of her dangit!

The judges probably run out of options when they pick mediocre singers. Cause not like last year, this year they did not had second chance contestants. So when the selection of contestants dwindling, they had to pick some just okay singers.

Thats also why some quite good singers did not make it cause the judges at that time hoping they can select better singers but they did not.

Haven’t watched the show so I’m a little out of the loop.  The judges have teams (aka X-Factor) and their teams compete?  Isn’t this supposed to be about finding ‘The Voice’….does the judge win something special if his team succeeds…and can all the finalists come from a single team?  Sounds more like a mini sporting event than a singing competition.

MJ, I’m LOL at your description of Angel Taylor as Singer. Couldn’t you have dug down deep and given her something?

It’s really a crap shoot for them picking people over the weeks to fill up their ‘dance card’. I would guess they want to pick some that they wouldn’t be upset losing down the road.

At this point I really don’t have any favorites, but I did like Whitney from last night. I liked the piano guy with the hat too.

Here’s hoping one of Christina’s female contestants mentors her in the way of hair, makeup and fashion.  She is such a cute girl, with an adorable face, I just can’t believe that she thinks the way she is styling herself is flattering.  I just want to dye her hair a natural-looking brown shade, scrub the glitter off her face and dress her in jeans and a nice t-shirt.

This is the point where the show lost it’s luster for me last time so I hope the guest coaches are really competitive to make this part of the show interesting. Also I am assuming there will be strategy involved in the parings so we can see who our 4 stars think are the best members of their teams.

I have come to love this lolzy show so much.  This cast looks better than the last year or two, I’m looking forward to Gavin & Gladys.  I hope they can dance!

The judge wins bragging rights.  Once they get their numbers paired down to 6 then the public will take over voting.

Even with the help of background music and a full performance, I have yet to see one of their contestants who stand out more than the AI contestants who have only performed snippets a cappella.

I have mixed feelings about the battle rounds and I was hoping that they would change the format a bit. On one hand, I love the duets; it’s fun to watch the contestants harmonizing with each other. However, I dislike their criteria for elimination. I think they should devise a system where they reward the contestants who have the best duets, by keeping both of them, and eliminate one contestant from the duets that are not as good. I think that would encourage the contestants to work better together when they are performing the duet.

I agree. Never have like that elimination. I think they do it this way for the drama.

I don’t watch this show but will if Kelly is on.

I think Mathai and Jordin Unger are the best.  I do like the guy last night with the hat and played piano.  I think his name was Orlando.  Cee Lo wasnt very aggressive in trying to persuade singers to his team this year so I don’t think he got many good singers.

Since the advisers will also be in competition, that takes more attention off of the contestants.  That may not be a bad thing, for the show, since this round really hurt the ratings last year.  Like last year, people probably won’t get a chance to get to know the contestants, but the contestants seem to be the least important aspect of The Voice, which given the name of the show is ironic.

The Voice is like X factor, but the judges actually like each other. lol

The judges of The Voice mentor the contestants that selected them to be their mentors. The judges don’t win anything other than the satisfaction of getting one of their contestants the win. They get personally involved with the contestants, like X factor and unlike Idol, and they try to help the members of their team grow and become better artists along the way.

The Voice is a singing competition, it just doesn’t follow Idol’s formula. It would be pretty dull if all competition shows followed the same formula.

I just watched a video of Team Christina watching their blind auditions and I don’t want any of them to go.  They’re all cool and different.
