Spoilers – American Idol Season 8 Hollywood Rounds – Day One.

OK. Not much to report. Yet.

But I DO know that the would-be Idol contestants are all staying at the Hollywood Renaissance Hotel, Hollywood and Highland while they compete in the Hollywood Rounds (taking place this week) for a spot on the big show.

ETA: The Kodak theater is next to the Hollywood Renaissance Hotel. Things that make you go hm… Vote for the Worst spoiler thread right HERE.

    I’m excited for this season. I already have my eye on a few contestants, I just hope they make it to the top 24.

    Anyone who is as spoiler obsessed as I am, they have a spoiler list of all the known hopefuls for this season and how far they have known to have made it at the Vote For the Worst site, in the forums.

    The number of Hollywood week contestants per season:

    Season 1 – 123
    Season 2 – 234
    Season 3 – 119
    Season 4 – 193
    Season 5 – 176
    Season 6 – 172
    Season 7 – 164

    The average of all seasons is 169. Assuming there are 169 there in Hollywood now (just using an average), they have a 30% chance of making the top 50 (if that is the number standing, if a top 40 they have a 24% chance of making it there), and they have a 14% chance of making the top 24. If you picked favorites now, that is their chance of making out based on a blind draw (of course AI is not a blind draw, but we don’t know what they are like on stage or what the judges think of them!)

    Thats me that posts it – Joesplace. This year we are finding it VERY HARD to get spoilers. The contestants must have really been given stern lectures on posting info after last years debacle. damn them.
