As we get ready for The Voice season 10, premiering on Feb 29,

The Voice season 8 winner, Sawyer Fredericks, released his eponymous Republic Records EP last November and performed its first single, “Take It All,” live on a The Voice results show. But the 16 year old singer is just getting started, as he continues to work on his full length album due out later this year.

Now, as The Voice 10 is about to premiere on NBC February 29, Sawyer drops a music video for “Take it All” via Yahoo Music.

“I had a really good time working with the cast and crew on this video, and I think [director] Chris Acosta created a very beautiful story,” Sawyer told Yahoo about the clip, which was shot in Southern California’s Simi Valley.

In the intriguing, sepia-tinged set piece, is the protagonist looking back on his life with some regret? Does his older self meet the younger Polaroid-taking version in order to set things right with the love of his life? Is there a hidden story that involves an ill-fated multi-racial romance? You be the judge.

The vintage tale is intercut with Sawyer, guitar in hand, playing the song in various locations. At one moment he and the story intersect, as the old man’s truck drives up behind him.
