R&B singer, Ne-Yo just could not keep a secret on the Grammy red carpet tonight. He let slip to Ryan Seacrest that he is in talks to join the X Factor US judges’ panel. “It’s a conversation. Nothing is set in stone right yet. It’s talks.”
“There’s been a few lunches and dinners, but that’s all I can say right now.”
He also dished about the possibility of joining Simon Cowell as an X Factor judge in an interview with Extra host (and X Factor host!) Mario Lopez.
“I think it would be a great, great thing, I don’t want to talk to much about it, because I don’t want to get in no trouble… conversations have been had, but that’s about it.” He told Extra, “If it happens, I’d be more then willing to do so. I feel like I’ve been around long enough to have some vital information for someone on the way up, definitely.”
After a lackluster season 2, both LA Reid and Britney Spears announced that they would be leaving the X Factor judges’ panel. That leaves Simon Cowell, and, perhaps, Demi Lovato who is said to be renegotiating a new contract. But Demi’s return has yet to be officially announced.
