Mjsbigblog and Entertainment Weekly Are Joining Forces To Cover Idol

I’ve got some really exciting news! I’ll be working with Entertainment Weekly to bring you the best in American Idol coverage.

I’ll be live blogging American Idol at Entertainment Weekly, beginning with tonight’s premiere. Not to worry, I’ll start a post here before the show with a link to my EW blog so you all can follow along.

Immediately after the show ends, I’ll be posting videos and my own recap here on the blog, as always.  Idol coverage here will change slightly, but remain pretty much the same!

I’ll also be helping EW with Idol galleries, commentary, and breaking news throughout the season. I won’t be taking over EW’s Idol coverage, completely. Annie Barrett will be back this year with her witty and incisive recaps of the show. Don’t miss, ya’ll.

Tonight’s 2 hour American Idol premiere begins at 8/7c pm on FOX.

    That is great news!  FYI and theirs, they’re the lucky ones, as you know what’s happening with everything Idol.  Also, get them to give another listen to Scotty’s cd, which they didn’t like.  LOL  You’ll be just great.  Congratulations!

    I’ve been reading this blog since season 5 (followed Taylor Hicks).  I frequented this blog and Gray Charles (until it closed down).  MJs is THE American Idol website for me and I have read it daily, seriously.  A BIG congratulations to you MJ!  I guess I can say, “I knew you when” now, lol.  I hope many more and even bigger and better opportunities continue to come your way!  Proud of ya!

    What a great opportunity and well deserved!  Congrats!!

    I turned off EW after years of Slezak’s totally biased coverage of his favorites that I stopped visiting the site during his last year.  Then I got out of the habit and rarely went back. Looks like now I have a reason to return.
