Last night’s NBC. Olympic trials determined the “Fierce Five” female gymnasts who will represent the US at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
During a clip featuring Gabby Douglas a version of La’Porsha Renae’s “Battles” was featured! The song was the American Idol 15 runner-up’s winners single, which she performed on the final as she competed against the eventual winner, Trent Harmon.
Olympic clips are hard to come by, but we do have a low quality video of Gabby doing her thing to La’Porsha’s inspiring song.
Watching the Gymnastics Olympic Trials & guess who’s song came on… That’s right it’s @laporsharenae #SanJose2016 pic.twitter.com/53G1hfKwOX

The five female gymnasts heading to Rio in August, after Sunday’s Olympic trials, include 2012 reigning champion Gabby Douglas, triple medalist Aly Raisman, rising star Simone Biles and newcomers Madison Kocian and Laurie Hernandez.
Shortly after Aly’s 2012 summer Olympics stint in London, she competed on Dancing with the Stars. Host Tom Bergeron congratulated her on twitter with a throwback photo.
Congratulations @Aly_Raisman! All of us at @DancingABC are already giving you 10s! https://t.co/hvXnfcDL1E pic.twitter.com/cAxohlFeUi
