Kris Allen and Adam Lambert perform in Providence RI with the American Idols Live tour 09/13

Like Idols before them (David Cook and David Archuleta appeared last year), Kris Allen and   Adam Lambert are set to appear at the annual Ford Motor Company Day on Friday September 18.

Adam and Kris will perform beginning at 12: 3o pm, and if we’re lucky, there will be video available post-event. Here’s hoping!

As soon as Kris finishes, he’s off to Boston, MA for the Mix 104.1 End of Summer Bash taking place at the Colonnade Hotel on Saturday September 19.   He’ll be appearing with David Gray.   It’s one of those call in to win it deals, so if you’re trying…good luck!

The Top 10 Idols wind up their American Idols Live tour in Manchester, New Hampshire, Tuesday September 14.

There is no greater refuge than a friend.

Hope they are as close as they seem. Because they are about to be in the few get out alive, black hole, shark pit crazyland. Full of people who want to use them. Or loved ones who don’t really understand why they’ve changed. Or can’t be there, ever, not ever. Never at all. And can’t keep a promise, even though they really want to, because it’s so essential that they show up somewhere else.

Plus they’ll have tens of thousands of technologically wired devotees begging for more and more and more.

And how lucky they are to have someone who not only understands, but wants nothing from them. Has no agenda. Or resentment. Except to be there for the other. And on top of that can give good musical feedback. Just having someone like that to text in the wee hours would make life bearable. Or at least seem human and a little bit real. So hope their friendship is deep and real and for always.

FHS – I agree and have posted several times about how the people that are in their lives have no freaking clue what is about to happen. If they haven’t seen them much this year – well look out they won’t be for quite a while and if the international stuff happens quickly it will be much worse for those people then.

I have family and friends in the entertainment business and have seen what this can do. Few relationships remain the same.

Adam, Kris and Allison hopefully will remain in close contact as no one else they know will be experiencing the same thing all at the same time. They will need that support to face what is ahead. Adam will have his Mom working for him which is good because they seem to be very close and they will experience this together.

This can be the best thing to happen to them and the worse thing all at the same time – it all depends on how strong their friends and loved ones are -and they will need to be really strong.

One year after “the Davids” left the AI stage, DC at least is routinely asked questions about Archie. Some “one” even cared enough about “the Davids” that they staged a huge overseas concert featuring the two of them. And these two never appeared any where as close as Adam and Kris in friendship.

I doubt ‘Kradam” will disappear overnight. I am sure each will be asked about the other for some time to come. I would not be surprised if the questions were answered as I think they will stay in touch with each other. They never seemed to care before what the public thought of their relationship – why should they start now.

I prefer him far away from Adam when it comes to business and their music,

Vanjess, Kris is already gone on record as saying he and Adam discuss their various album work with each other, so they at least use each other for feedback.

That is how life is’ ¦.if you want to succeed in the dog eat dog (I hate that phrase) world of entertainment than they have to put themselves and their careers front and center. That may sound harsh but if they don’t they will get trampled on and their pieces left for someone else to pick up.

Yes, it is a very dog eat dog kind of business, but one in which friendships are good to have. I think folks who have a great group of friends who understand the trials and tribulations of the industry (the members of The Rat Pack, Ben Affleck & Matt Damon, Beyonce are some examples that come to mind) tend to stay more grounded than those who cut themselves off from real relationships with their friends and family (Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley, etc)

“I have been backing away this weekend and don’t quite know where to land in my Adam fantardness. I will lurk here to see what MJ posts about these Idols but not sure how much I will post. ”

Ah, adamland, it is something I too have been trying to figure out. I want information about Adam, and I like the people on this board. I think that MJ will post Adam news on this site and there will be those of us here who want to discuss it, just like today. I just don’t think it will take up quite as much time because the tour will be over. Thank God.

The two Davids did just fine at staying friends, and with the turn-out for Cook’s LA concert, I think we can safely say that a whole bunch of the season 7 alums are still friends.

The cool thing about most of the season 8 kids is that they, too, seem like regular folks who will be unlikely to let any of the craziness get to them. Maybe a year from now, somebody will be all over the tabloids for his love life and somebody else’s dad will get arrested for getting a “massage” at a sleazy parlor, somebody else will be joining an established band as their new front singer, somebody else will take a role in a touring Broadway musical, somebody else will be playing coffeehouses and frozen yogurt stores while their BFF is in arenas, somebody else (or two or three of them) will be pushing indie albums or headlining for David Foster, and a couple more will be guest-starring on American Nobody. If that could all happen to the S7 crowd and they remained friends, I don’t see why the S8 ones can’t, too.

Had a cortisone shot today for my shoulder. In pain. Just wanted to say that, as with the David’s, Kris and Adam will do just fine APART. I enjoyed Kradam, b/c they are friends and are so different from each other, but both have so much to offer. The next few months will be very fun to watch. I am Tour’ed out. ;)

I still can’t win passes to see Kris in Boston, sob, BUT I did win tickets to see U2 in Foxboro–VIP seats!–so I can’t complain.

    Ciao for tonight.

One more concert to go! It’s been a great summer, but I can’t wait to see what is next for the idols!!!!

That picture really favors Kris, the perspective makes him look taller.

I hope we do get some videos from the event, probably we’ll get the standard songs, but as long as they have new wardrobe and a different setting, it is gonna be really refreshing.

OMG suebrody, you’re so, so lucky! You’re right, you can’t complain when you can see the best band in the world with VIP seats :)! BTW, I hope the pain goes away soon.

You are so right (after taking a second look at it). Although the first time I saw the pic I saw Adam’s expression and appreciation of Kris’ talent. They both look handsome!!

    And Luv,

half of the posters + MJ will probably yell at me for giving you this, but, if you haven’t already seen it, this will improve your day.

    loved it!!!!

I wish them both the best with their careers. I loved Adam’s Elvis look!

Kris and Adam haven’t really done to many joint interviews since shortly after the show ended. They seem to switch them up in the tour press and the last appearance they had together was GMA. I think for the online fans kradam seems much more prevelant in their careers than it really is. I haven’t noticed the mainstream media pushing the “bromance”.

I think when the tour ends they will keep in contact because I truly believe they’ve built a genuine friendship. Neither Adam nor Kris seem capable of such clear deception as to fake their bond all these months. I don’t think Kradam, within the context of that particular fanbase is going anywhere anytime soon. Their friendship is inspiring to many people. Proof that you can find common bonds even when seemingly so different.

It will be interesting to see, once the tour is over and they are separate, how many kradam fans remain loyal to them as a pair. I started out a kradison fan while watching the show. Voted equally for all three thoughtout the process and then finale night didn’t vote at all because I couldn’t pick one over the other. Over the course of the tour I’ve clearly chosen a favorite and will buy his CD but probably not the other ones because his style of music really isn’t my thing. I’m still inspired by their friendship but no longer feel I have to support both in order to support my favorite.

just wondering what they will sing now that the tour band has departed? Where is this Ford Company Day?
