I was not a Jason fan – but he is so cute and engaging in this – I really like him.

Thanks MJ. This boy is too freaking adorable for words. So awkward, endearing, charming and REAL all at the same time. I love how there are no second takes. What you see is what you get.

Jason seems hopelessly scatterbrained and yet he is savvy enough to keep Tuesdays as his “date night” with fans. I sure hope the “cool stuff” pans out and we get good news soon.

There was post on IDF today from the family friend commenting that Mia Michaels (choreographer from SYTYCD) might choregraph a piece to one of Jason’s songs. This is all a big fat maybe of course and if it is for the show who knows if Nigel will let her, but she’s a fan and supposedly they are in touch to see what they can work out.

But again, the biggest obstacle here is Nigel. I’m not sure he’d let so much attention be focused on Jason of all people, especially since 19E has no plans of signing him. I can see him being worried that it might pull too much focus from Cook, Archie and MJ (since they are probably signing him).

That would be cool, brie! I hope it’s true! I just love me some JCas! Thanks for the vid, MJ!

It’s not a sure thing, but I just kind of assume it based on their actions. But I honestly prefer 19E to NOT sign him. I don’t think it would be the right label fit for him anyway.

wow, he seems really happy! i bet musically some very cool things are happening for him behind the scenes, he’s getting nice feedback from some bigwigs, he’s found some kindred musical spirits out there, he’s doin’ this thing. well, i love his voice and am glad he’s on his way. sweet kid with a voice, you rock!

He is so so adorakable! He often irritated on the show, but now that DC has won and I can exhale, I can relax and enjoy him.

I am very very interested to hear what sort of music he puts out. If it’s to my taste, I’m on the JC train!

I love Jason’s home videos. And actually from a purely directorial viewpoint it’s okay that he cut off the top of his head in that shot because we all know he has a top to his head and therefore it’s been established. I took a class in this at USC. Lol.

I love Jason’s blogs too. Nicely informative, interesting, warm and adorable. I will have to get used to his style of writing. Come to think of it, who really needs capitals, commas, periods, etc? LOL. Yep, love him.

I’m excited that Jason is writing music in LA and seemed so excited about it. Can’t wait to hear it.

Sounds as if things are “happening” for him – once the tour is over hopefully we will be able to hear more about what is coming for Jasonnn in the future. He seems really happy doesn’t he??? Tuesday “date night” is awesome. What a sweetheart he is. I just got back from California and visiting my grandson & son – so have lots to catch up on as my internet access was limited there.

JASON!!! Woohoo! I need to get my hands on a cd of his PRONTO! I miss that boy….

I never thought I would ever use the word adorkable, but that’s what Jason is. I just want to squeeze him and pinch his cheeks. He’s so cute and…”adorkable”. My husband wouldn’t know what to think if he heard me use that word. But, he knows of my obsession with Jason so he’s ok with that.

I’m glad that Jason has some things going on with his career. I hope to see him for a long, long time so we can continue to have our dates with him every Tueday. Kind of like that movie with Jack Lemmon, “Tuesdays with Morrie”. We will have “Tuesdays with Jason.” :grin1_ee:

I can’t tell you how excited I am about the possibility of Jason’s music being used for SYTYCD! My two favorite shows!

I just love that boy. It’s so nice of him to do the little video updates so his fans know what he’s up to. He might want to recruit a new camera person though, so his whole head gets in the shot next time!!

I don’t know how all of this stuff works. But, last season, they let Danny do one of his solos to Elliott’s “Wait for You”. Of course, that may be a different situation because that was well after that season ended and all of the other cd’s were out for a year by then. So, maybe they won’t let it happen since it’s so early in the game.

I’m reserving a seat on the adorable/adorkable train too. I didn’t discover Jason on AI until about the time he sang “Over the Rainbow.” (Somehow, I missed his first rendition of “Halleluia.”)

Jason is someone I like to think of when life gets terribly hectic. He’s like a visual mantra. Even when Jason is being “awkward,” he gives off a relaxed, happy vibe.

Looking forward to hearing Jason’s music and to more vlogs on “Tuesdays with Jason.”

LOLOL. How can anyone not like this kid? It must be awkward interviewing oneself. I’d hate to have to do it! In spite of that his warmth and natural humour shines through. I’m really happy things are going well for him.

Great way to start my morning as I love JCas!!! He makes me smile and laugh and he still acts like “I can’t believe this happened to me (but I kinda like it)”.
I think he has a shot at selling alot of cd’s if someone signs him.

I noticed that he talked about playing music – not singing music – think he is still in drummer mode as opposed to singer mode – can’t wait to see what we get on the tour. I think that the 2 Davids and Jason will get the loudest cheering from the crowds – although if it is like the finale, they will give Carly and MJ more songs. I wouldn’t care but I really really want some Jason music on CD so I hope the record execs take notice

I don’t know about the Jason trains, but I am on Bue #7. LOL.

Thank you MJ and Purple for keeping us up to date. I hope Jason will have time for us once the tour is full steam ahead. It’s so enjoyable knowing we have this connection.

I love this guy, he makes me smile every time I see him. He doesn’t take himself too seriously and when you see vlogs like that, he just seems so natural. Like its one of your friends sending you a vlog of themselves. I look forward to our weekly dates with Jason…I’ve never dated a cutie that sports dreads and manpris. I’m looking forward to broadening my horizons :lol_wp:

I wonder if Jason has a “team” in place now. Probably so. I remember that Elliott had a put his team together soon after he was eliminated and had written and partially recorded “Movin’ On” before the tour started for Season 5. Since Jason is writing and is so excited, he probably has some good things in the works. I hope so. If 19 is not going to sign him to a record deal now, I hope that Jason asks (or asked) Simon Fuller and whomever to release him the way that Elliott did and I hope that he gets the go-ahead to do his thing as long as he does not release his CD before the ones they sign.

If this tour is set up like Season 5, Chris and Elliott had 3 solos each too but they also sang a duet together, sang with Bucky and Ace on “Patience” and they sang with the other Idols for two group numbers.

I hope we get lots of Jason on this tour.

I wonder what song Mia wants to use? One that he did on the show, like Hallelujah or one of his own like So Fast? I hope hope hope it happens

I think Jason is going to benefit so much by going out on tour this summer. He should gain more confidence being in front of an audience in particular.

Going back to SYTYCD and Mia, the post from IDF didn’t specify if the talk was about possibly using something of Jason’s from AI or something new. I agree that it probably wouldn’t be a problem further down the line, but either way I think Mia is going to have a hard time getting it past the producers since it would have to be for before Cook’s album comes out.

Plus if they used something from AI, it’s not even like people can buy it off Itunes after hearing it on the show.

Though Mia can use whatever she wants in her own personal career. Even if she used a number of his away from SYTYCD it would still be cool.

I also have no idea how much pull she has on SYTYCD. I doubt Nigel and company want to lose her from the show over something stupid.

Well he’s so frickin’ cute I can’t stand it. I wonder how much Jackie had to pester him to give us an update.

He is verrry excited. I’m intrigued and inclined to believe people in the biz have shown interest rather than he’s just writing songs with a pal. Cool. Even if it’s just writing songs at this point. He needs help in that area since he’s still a novice.

I can’t wait for the concert reviews and bootlegs!!

This is the first year I’ve watched SYTYCD. I knew I liked Mia for a reason, lol. Her routines struck a chord with me. That would be awesome exposure for Jason if she used one of his songs on the show but I’m not holding my breath.
