Idol Headlines for 6/19/12

The American Idol 12 auditions are in Charlotte NC. Scotty McCreery is in the house (he tweeted!) along with Ryan Seacrest. I’m hearing 5,000 hopefuls were lined up early this morning!

Ace Young, Diana DeGarmo, Alexis Grace, Siobhan Magnus and Scott Savol performed their first live show in Branson, NO last night. The begin the 2nd shift of Idols to perform at the Andy Williams Moon River theater for the Finalists Live show. Finalist live runs through August 18.

Jennifer Hudson – Jennifer Hudson Creates Qvc Line – The 30-year-old singer is to introduce the Jennifer Hudson Collection for QVC in September and her new range will comprise of pieces from her former size 16 to her latest look, size six, for all of her fans who span that range. She told WWD: ”I feel like I represent every woman. I’ve been on both sides of the fence. ”I’ve been a big girl and now whatever this is, the average size, whatever you want to call it. ‘Glee’ star Cory Monteith on winning awards, and hosting them too [Video] – “Everybody was crying. Everybody was losing control,” reveals “Glee” star Cory Monteith about the cast’s reaction to filming the third season finale. Many of the students, including Monteith’s crooning football jock Finn Hudson, graduated from McKinley High School. Tribeca Film Acquires ‘Struck By Lightning’ With ‘Glee’s Chris Colfer – Tribeca Film announced today that it has acquired U.S. rights to “Glee” star Chris Colfer’s film debut, the high school comedy Struck By Lightning. Tribeca Film plans a late 2012 theatrical release day and date with on-demand platforms where it will be available in 40+ million homes through a variety of video-on-demand offerings, in addition to iTunes, Amazon Watch Instantly, VUDU, Xbox and Samsung Media Hub. Something goes wrong, there are no cues, and you have to play it off. I’ll go to break and ask, “Did I get that right?” Deeley: If you do make a mistake and handle it with a bit of charm and self-deprecation, it really endears you to the audience.
