KELLY CLARKSON: WHY I GAVE MY SONG TO ONE DIRECTION – Kelly Clarkson, ad admitted “writers snob” explains why she gave one of her songs to 1 Direction. “People have asked for songs and I’m like: “I can’t stand their voice, they’re not singing my song.” When Simon Cowell put me forward to write for One Direction I said: “Let me hear them first.” Simon has been really supportive since I won American Idol. Tell Me A Lie is the cut I’ve got on 1D’s album as I like the story of them, how they came together as a group.” – Read more at The Daily Star

‘The Glee Project’ exit Q&A: ‘I could just feel that I wasn’t really there’ – Eliminated Glee Project contestant, Dani Shays on her Glee experience. “I was taking on the advice that Lea Michele had given me the week prior, where she said just be more yourself. Because I felt like I was trying to be very pop-ish, musical theater, because that’s the feel of that show. And so when [Michele] said that, I thought, “Okay.” Going into the next week, my mind frame was “I’m going to be my chill, relaxed self,” because honestly, that is how I would be at a party. At a high school party, I was always the one kind of chillin’, watching everybody.” – Read more at Entertainment Weekly

I just read on twitter that David A.’s Forevermore album went Gold in June. I assume that’s sales in Asia and not the US. I am not sure about that. I would say that is very impressive for someone that is away from his music career for 2 years on a mission. Great that David A. is releasing an album of song covers  in the US this year.

    About.

  • fuzzywuzzy

Found this on the CNN website:

In the Human Factor, we profile survivors who have
overcome the odds. Confronting a life obstacle – injury, illness or
other hardship – they tapped their inner strength and found resilience
    they didn’t know they possessed.

It sounds like Sanjay will interview James about his Tourrettes and Aspergers, and how he has dealt with those challenges in his life and career.

They’re both working – Nikki is filming and Paul is making an album:

“It’s been a little stressful [lately] because it’s been so busy,” Reed says. “Paul’s been recording his album full time, and I’ve been shooting, so we’re both very busy right now.”

Whoa, after what happened last year on X Factor US, I thought nobody would ask Nicole to be a judge ever again.
I have no idea what Simon is thinking.

    It is sales in Asia.

  • Anonymous

The gold status for sales on Forevermore is indeed for sales in Asia and more specifically its referring to sales in the Philippines. Certification happens by country.

Actually, Forevermore was never released in the US so there wouldn’t be any sales attributed here. All the US fans who bought a copy purchased it as an import and the sales counted in the country of origin.

Excited for David to hear it sold so well! With the new single and music video coming out later this month (and possible a 3rd I’ve heard a rumor of coming later!) hoping the album will sell even more.

I’m so impressed with David A’s team whoever they maybe lol  I can’t believe how much he was able to accomplish in such a short time and I hear more to come.

David A sent a message via his manager.
“Hey guys! Got the news about the Forevermore album going GOLD the first week in June and told David. Just had to wait until we had certification from the label to post his message! (ks) From David: That´s great to hear! Please let the fans know I say thank you for all of their support! (ks) Thanks Everyone!!!”

Excited for Davids BEGIN. album, coming out Aug 7th.  Covers and original.  Thank you David for your hard work. We miss you.

It sold some in the U.S. while briefly on I tunes.  Probably not on long enough to sell many.  Think it was a few days.  I know I downloaded some from U.S.
and every where else that sold the CD and downloads.

Not sure why this is underlining.   Not trying to emphasize anything

  • Anonymous

Yeah, I mentioned that in my comment over in the Numbers thread. I would be interested to know how many sold in that time frame — not only in the US but worldwide since it was released in all itunes stores simultaneously. We never got any explanation as to how or why that happened either.
