steaming Archies album right now and I really hate to say that I’m really disappointed :sad_tb: not feeling it at all. Crush seems to be the best one so far. Liking “You Can” but the others just sound sort of “flat” for me…….still listening. Maybe I will feel differently with a second listen.

I think it’s more like Z100 really loves Jive and Jive really loves Z100. They have a pretty good “relationship” going. Z100 shows a lot of love for all the Jive artists.

Well whether they love him or not, that was a great opportunity. That song has become Archie’s signature song, so having it air on Z100 is big. I agree with jpfan, this song could be released before the holiday, then he would have three songs in rotation. Hmmmmmm.

Never trust TMZ. Case in point: remember the other day when someone posted a man on the street interview with Jason Castro? He was with his girlfriend and I believe his uncle. Well, on the same day TMZ posts a video where they are following a starlet down the street and look Jason Castro just happens to be standing across the street! Is it possible, TMZ implies, that they have caught him and this starlet linking up? The TMZ folks run acros the street where Jason is getting into a car with the people I think were in the man on the street interview with him and immediately start quizzing him about said starlet. Jason, being Jason, gives them a couple of one word answers and stares at them. He leaves but TMZ never retracts the idea they’ve put out that they “seem” to have caught the two trying to hook up. Silliness.
BTW, I have also seen past posts from Julia where she talks about Jennifer being the pretty one and more talented than she is. Like MJ I am not even going to try to understand her state of mind right now but I doubt TMZ is being aything close to accurate right now.

Sye cracks me up– I just saw 30Rock where Oprah’s favorite things were mentioned, so it just tickles me to see Syesha posted a list of her favorite things…

So I feel a little bad checking out those DC-KC pictures, but I’m weak, and I did, so a couple quick comments: A) cute, though YMMV, B) aww, DC’s wearing a Malaria No More t-shirt– and is that the SNL vest? C) the two of them look like they’re shocked by something they saw to the side in one of the pictures, and I dunno why, but their expressions cracked me up.

I attended the Chris Sligh concert last night.

Really small, intimate crowd- it was cool.

I recorded 5 songs (including Empty Me, Trouble, and his second single “arise?”) and some of him being funny. i wanted to get everything but my camera battery sucks MAJOR and i had to leave right before he finished because they didnt start til about 830 (i thought it was 7) and i had some serious work to get done before 8am today.

It was all acoustic (chris on guitar, then a drummer and 1 piano guy) and chris sounded real good. I wish i could have stayed to meet him and he seemed like the most down to earth human being on the planet (other than archie haha). He really knows how to communicate himself and his music to the ppl. I was impressed.

Anyways, ill have to figure out how to post vids online (after i learn how to import them into my computer) and ill let u know mj.

YEah Angels would be good for the holiday season.

But something like that could very easily be debunked if it’s false because if you’re on Julia’s friend list you can see if it’s true or not. The week the crime happened she added tons of people who sent requests to her because I remember looking at her comments and seeing lots that said “thanks for the add, even though I don’t know you I feel terrible” etc.If they made up something like that or photoshopped captions they can get into lots of trouble. Twisting things is one thing, but that would be forgery to a certain extent. I’ve been reading the Court TV boards and I know there are a couple of people there who are friends with her on there so I’ll try and find out. Supposedly those new pictures were taken the day of the funeral in a hotel room.

I think that caption is just being taken out of context. It could be just saying “Now that Jason [has left the room], I’m the prettiest.” The point is this is an old picture and we don’t know in what context that caption was written. That’s what TMZ does. It thrives on innuendo knowing how gullible its audience is. I would not give it any further thought, nor would I that video of Michael Johns. After what they did to Archie and Jeff, I don’t pay them any attention at all. They ruin people’s lives and reputations using very flimsy evidence. The sad thing is America is very willing to believe anything negative they hear about their celebrities. You’re right, Deejay. It should be made illegal. TMZ should be shut down.

I agree that it would be nice as a special Christmas release. Might cause Archie overload, though, if Jive is trying to get TMH played as well. Didn’t work too well with Rihanna having Disturbia, Live Your Life (w/TI) and Rehab all on the charts at once. Rehab is suffering because of it.

^Or maybe they just can pull TMH and leave Angels…. I like more Angels as a single than TMH… maybe this is the final change for Angels to get to number one… after all neither Robbie nor Jessica could do it!!!! Go Angels!!!!!

If you just consider singers who became finalists by making the top 12, the number of “Idols” who have charted remains at 37.

First Billboard Review of David ´s Album …

Most teen Disney heroes have got nothing on David Archuleta. The 17-year-old who was one of the most exciting “American Idol” contenders has one of those once-in-a-decade pop voices: A silky tenor with a natural melancholy that makes him a heartbreaker by default. His charming debut exploits that very quality with some strokes of pop genius, like “Touch My Hand,” a temporary love ballad to the pretty girl in the front row, and “Your Eyes Don’t Lie,” a Jonas Brothers-do-”No Diggity” ditty with a fair amount of crooner slink. I hate the encouragement of bulk buying especially when it is done by the label (although, I think I already covered that all a few weeks ago). I think this one may bite them in the butt though because kids are smart enough to figure out they can return the albums. Bulk buying doesn’t count for SoundScan (after N copies, it figures it’s being manipulated and filters out that sale), but I wonder if bulk returns are still deducted from sales. This could actually reduce the numbers of legitimate sales.

I could see having a draw with one entry per customer, but this thing favours the big schools in rich districts which seems kind of unfair.

For the record, I also hate Bonus tracks on different versions of the CD.

I’m okay with one version of the CD having Bonus tracks. It’s kind of a special gift to those paying attention (or a surprise treat for those who get lucky and buy it by accident). When there are 2 or 3 or 4 or 5 different bonus track versions, I get annoyed. Way to take advantage of your fans.

When I saw this DA thing at Walmart, it never even occured to me that people might buy more than one. I don’t think that was the intention. In fact, I know that it is not the label but a family friend who started this, mostly to let kids know it is coming out. I am not even sure how effective it will be since they just decided today to do it, and it is going to be very difficult to get the information out by Monday. Besides, you have to go over there at midnight on a school night. I am not sure many parents are going to go for that.

Thanks Cruz! I guess that means David is definitely gonna be at the New York Jingle Ball. I thought they weren’t going to officially announce the line up until the 12th.

BTW, it looks like David will not be doing the Y100 Jingle Ball in Florida on the 13th of December. I’m actually glad that he isn’t because if he had taken on that show as well, it would have meant that he’d be doing 7 shows on 7 consecutive days. He’s young. I’m sure he could have handled it. But that would have been way too grueling of a schedule.

“Crush” is No. 2 this week on the Vh1 Top 20 Countdown. Topping the list is “Better in Time” by Leona Lewis. “Single” by New Kids on the Block and Ne-Yo came in 3rd, followed by Jennifer Hudson’s “Spotlight,” remaining in the No. 4 spot for the 3rd week in a row.
