‘Idol’ Reject Files Lawsuit — Third Time’s a Charm!

Former “American Idol” contestant Ian Benardo is trying his luck again … suing the show for discrimination for the third time — but this time, he’s asking for a lot less money.

Benardo has filed this suit twice before — claiming “Idol” producers “exploited” his sexual orientation by asking him to “gay it up” on their show — and it was tossed out on a technicality each time.

This time Benardo and his lawyer, Matthew Blit, think they have their ducks in a row and filed the suit again in federal court on Friday.

But get this … the first time Benardo sued for $300 million, the second time he asked for $100 million, and this time … he’s asking for just $5 million.

If this gets tossed out again, the next lawsuit will be for bus fare.

Bell also competed on “American Idol” during Season 2, when he also made it to Hollywood and was eliminated. He returns this year with much more experience.

He now lives in New York City, but mentions on social media pages he is a 2001 Frenship High School graduate who went on to study music at both Texas Tech and the University of Central Oklahoma.

The biography on his Myspace page begins: “I began first singing as far back as I can remember, which was at least 3 years old. I’m sure I started even before then. Originally from a dusty town called Lubbock, Tx. Grew up listening to all different types of music.

Randy Jackson Weighs In On Week 2 Of ‘Idol’

“She’s mad talented, ” Randy Jackson told Access Hollywood on Friday of the teen who got the golden ticket to Hollywood after dueting with Steven during her audition on “I Don’t Wanna Miss A Thing.” “She’s mad talented and fearless.”

Randy said the youngster was so good, she had him thinking about the past a little bit.

“She’s definitely got a gift. Reminded me a little bit of our first winner, Miss Kelly Clarkson, ” he said.

“I think it affected all of us, ” Randy said of Chris’ story. “When these kids walk in, they come in with their stories and we listen to their stories and I think we got affected along with America. But that’s what this show’s really about. It’s about people trying to achieve their dreams in the face of all sorts of odds, you know what I mean it’s a tearjerker, man; it’s a heartbreaker. I think we were all so just touched by it.”

“I really think people think the world revolves around them, and here’s why: People think the show needs to only be about them and [needs to] entertain them, ” Gokey tells Taste of Country. “They will blame the producers, saying they are exploiting or taking advantage … well, whether the producers are doing that or not, it’s working out for the good ’cause there is someone out there who is watching it that is going through the same thing.”
