Hits Daily Double is currently predicting 15-20k first week sales for Haley Reinhart’s debut album Listen Up! and Kris Allen’s sophomore album Thank You Camellia.

19/Interscope Idol contestant Haley Reinhart emerges with her well-received debut, Listen Up!, which is on target for 15-20k.

Eighth season Idol winner Kris Allen’s 19/RCA sophomore album, Thank You Camellia, is looking at 15-20k as well after his debut scored 80k out of the box in Nov. ‘09.

From HDD.

Those projections put both Idol alums in the running for a top 20 position on next week’s HDD chart. John Mayer is expected to debut at #1 with 225-250k in 1st week sales according to HDD.

Both Haley and Kris currently have singles on the Hot AC chart: Haley’s “Free” sits at #32 and Kris’s “The Vision Of Love” sits at #35. Kris has been promoting his album with FOX satellite interviews, radio gigs, and a performance yesterday on Live With Kelly. Haley has been promoting her album with performance sets and interviews with a variety of internet, radio, and TV media outlets. Both had performances on Idol earlier this season. It would be fair to say the first week sales reflect the size of their committed core fanbases at this point. The hope in both cases will be that their singles catch on and get more people aware of and interested in their albums.

Very true. Their new music made me a happy fan. That’s all that matters in the end. :)

Aww. That sucks. I’m sorry you’re still waiting for yours. :( I ended up getting mine on the 23rd. MyPlayDirect sent me an email confirmation on the 25th though. Two days after I got it in the mail. They should’ve sent me an email as soon as my album was shipped, but apparently there was a technical error that prevented me(and others)from getting the email. According to the email it was shipped the same day as Haley’s deluxe album too. Boy am I glad that I pre-ordered the standard version of his album from WalMart.(Got that along with Haley’s album on the 21st.)Otherwise I wouldn’t have had a Kris album to listen to on the 22nd. Funny thing is. The WalMart order originally said I would get it on the 23rd, and I pre-ordered it late with rush delivery. As opposed to the fan edition that I pre-ordered ages ago. Also with note to deliver it ASAP.

Anyway. Just so you know. That fan edition is coming from Tennessee. It could take awhile to get to you depending on where you live, and you may even have it now since you posted this a few days ago. lol If not I hope you get your fan edition soon.
