Haley Reinhart To Be Heard in Step Up Revolution 4

Here’s a nice bit of promo for Haley Reinhart. “Undone”, a song from her debut album, Listen Up!, will be heard in the new Adam Shankman directed movie Step Up Revolution 4. The movie is set to premiere on July 27.

Haley Reinhart, the acclaimed Season 10 American Idol finalist, who earlier this year signed a worldwide publishing deal with ole, has had “Undone,” a track from her debut album, Listen Up! (19/Interscope) included on the soundtrack of the American 3D dance film Step Up Revolution (Step Up 4) set to premiere on July 27.

It is just one of many positive turns her career has taken over the past few months which has seen her appear on a number of top-rated TV shows including Conan O’Brien and The View. She still continues to receive rave reviews for Listen Up! which hit #17 on the Billboard album chart and for which she was co-writer of all the songs except for the first single “Free.” (ole has the song for Canada through the song’s writers’ affiliation with BMG Chrysalis.)

The tune will be heard in the movie, but is not included in the soundtrack CD set for release on July 17.  Step Up Revolution 4 stars Kathryn McCormick and a slew of other So You Think You Can Dance alums.

    I would had preferred “Oh My!” since I feel like it’s more of a dance song but “Undone” will do very nicely! Very excited about this!

    That sure sounds interesting, but somehow random…. I mean,if it is not included on the soundtrack CD, people who happen to like the song upon hearing wont have a way to find out the name of the song and who sings it.

    I thought the same thing.  People will have no idea it’s her unless they read the credits at the end, so I doubt if it will have much impact on her sales.  Plus it might just be a snippet of her song since it’s not included on the soundtrack. But it’s still a very cool thing.

    Nice placement for Reinhart. Googling the song title (which is also the hookiest lyric) does give Reinhart’s song as one of the first 10 results, so people grabbed by it have a chance of finding it (I think most will figure out it’s not the Weezer song of the same title that involves destruction of knitted garments). I don’t expect humongous sales spikes, but sometimes the first placement leads to more.

    I agree, still cool. It’s a shame she’s not on the soundtrack though, but every little bit of promo counts. 
    I know you’re a fan, any news on her tour or touring mate for the fall?

    Very cool for Haley.  May not result in promo, but at least she’ll probably make a little money of it.

    From what I understand, these Step Up movies seem to do fairly well in terms of commercial appeal, so it’s a nice opportunity for Haley to make a bit of $$$ as well as get her music heard by more people in the younger demographics that are more likely to go see this movie.

    Undone is one the best tracks on Haley’s awesome album.
    When folks hear it in the movie they’ll want to hear it again and again.

    It’s a great opportunity, and it’s a great song. They should release the song as her next single.

    Do you know for sure that Haley will be shown on this live feed?  With so many big names and 5 stages, I’m not getting my hopes up that they will be showing the acts on the smaller stages.

    Yeah don’t count on it. She’s on the BMI stage which is for promising up and coming acts and is quite small

    That’s what I’m thinking.  I have a feeling a whole lot of fans will be watching the live feed all weekend for a glimpse of Haley and end up being really disappointed.  I just wondered if anyone saw it listed anyplace that she would definitely be on a live feed someplace.
