GLEE: Kurt (Chris Colfer) begs for another chance to audition at NYADA in the "Swan Song" episode of GLEE airing Thursday, Dec. 6 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. ©2012 Fox Broadcasting Co. CR: Eddy Chen/FOX

Whoopi Goldberg returns to Glee this week’s “Swan Song” episode as the stern NYADA director, Carmen Tibideaux. Rachel (Lea Michele) performs “When Being Good Isn’t Good Enough” by Barbara Streisand for the school’s Winter Showcase. And Kurt (Chris Colfer) gets a a shot at redemption when he sings “Being Good” from Company for a second NYADA audition.

The standards-heavy episode also features Cassie (Kate Hudson) performing “All That Jazz” from Chicago.

The episode will pick up where it left off–Marly fainting on stage during Sectionals, and the club will deal with the aftermath. They sing, “Don’t Dream It’s Over.”

And what goes on between Sam (Chord Overstreet) and Brittany (Heather Morris)? They kiss in the episode promo. There is also a recording of a duo singing Frank and Nancy Sinatra’s 60′s hit, “Something Stupid.”

It took 9 episodes, but finally a solo from Chris Colfer and it was worth the wait! That’s if you’re asking which song this week is my favorite…

Glee “Swan Song” airs Thursday, December 6.

OMG. . . Listening to Kate Hudson doing “All That Jazz” reminded me of her MOM doing it with the great Liza Minnelli. (Sorry for the poor vid quality, it’s the best one I could find.)

    Can’t wait to see this week’s episode. . .

So I’m guessing the Nude Erections get DQ’d since there aren’t any other songs? Unless Don’t Dream It’s Over is a group number.

  • WestiesRule

It makes me smile to see how they dig up old songs. The Frank and Nancy Sinatra song is a hoot!

  • Axxxel

yeah, also a bit suspicious about “Don’t dream it’s over”… I love love the song… but have a bad feeling about this for this Glee episode   :-(

  • tomr

Just write Kurt, Rachel, and Cassie out of the show!  Much prefer the newbies!

  • jennyl2

Yay! Finally a Kurt solo! Love. I think ND will get back into the competition some how.

  • milwlovesadam

LOL. Curt, your hair’s getting mighty high!! Hmmm. Wonder which Glam guy you met this year could have been a fashion inspiration??? Muwahahahaha!

Love him. I’m so glad for a good strong solo number. Yay!

    Lea sounds amazing on BGIGE!

I don’t know when the last episode of Glee will be filmed, but Rachel must me Barbara Streisand!  Yes, Lea sounds amazing!

  • mjsbigblog

OK. I just thought of something. If Kurt is singing “Being Alive” for his NYADA audition (well, I’m assuming) wouldn’t that be strange? Remember when Carmen told Kurt at his first audition that “Being Alive” was one of the audition songs she’s heard ad nauseum, therefore a very SAFE and boring choice? Hm.

  • fuzzywuzzy

lol I’m the opposite. I don’t like any of the new cast members.

  • fuzzywuzzy

I was missing Kurt’s solos. It sounds like he may be accepted by NYADA, which would make much more sense that when he was rejected after his first audition. Chris is a phenomenal talent.

    He met Jedward?

  • Axxxel

indeed, I was a bit dissapointed when I heard the song… not really having good feelings about this… but it does suit the storyline well when it comes to the Klaine woes…

Oh well, I can always rewatch the campy “Let’s have a Kiki” as compensation.

  • Axxxel

Don’t worry. they will be written out of the show by the end of this Season if Glee still wants to survive another season… sigh… a sad Kurt/Rachel fan.

ETA: as for the newbies: love Ryder and Marley… but where is my Tina and Joe Hart ???? And even though I am not even in favor of the Sam-Brittany development… I love me some Sam Evans hehehehe

  • Axxxel

Chris Colfer (Kurt in Glee) had no time to go to the hairdressers… He is too busy promoting his new book, some diary related to his movie  ”Struck by lightning”…

If Adam Lambert was his hair muse, Chris should have painted part of his hair grey :-)

  • Axxxel

nah, I think it will be his swansong and he will turn his back on Nyada for good…

If he joins Nyada after that ”less challenging and sung in lower register”  song… Nyada will be Dalton Academy 2.0… conform conform conform

ETA: but why is Burt wearing a Nyada cap in one of the spoiler pictures ? sigh….

  • RockiDreams

I hope they get rid of all of the newbies.  They are a total bore and not that memorable in the singing department.  The only new character I find interesting is Marley’s Mom.  Leave her on and send Marley off anywhere.

  • Axxxel

Yeah, the newbies are not that developed yet… Hope with Marley fainting… there will be some major development with that eating disorder storyline… now that it does not only affect Marley but the whole Glee club.
