David Cook

The newest David Cook message to his fans is fancy! It’s got subtitles and everything! Check it out after the JUMP…

  • Trina

Doesn’t that make me sound so cool..!

LOL I’m still laughing at the captions. I’m all for the Cookie & Andy vlogs. The bring the funny!

Any speculation about what magazine shoot he was talking about? To get ready for something after the tour?

  • Jolene

    Sugarfoot! Hee!
I really love the subtitles, I hope David uses those from now on in future Vlogs (Is that really a word now? It’s so… Transilvanian!).
I also wonder what that magazine shoot is all about. Did I understand correctly that it has something to do with what’s happening after the tour, IE probably the album release? But why shoot it now, so much in advance? Hmm…
Ah, and what is Andy Skib doing there? Is there a DC entourage now? LOL.

ETA: Courtesy of TWoP’s DC thread, here are the hard to read captions:
    - A gratuitous use of iMovie.
    - Andy Skib. Friend of a friend of a friend of a…
    - Doesn’t that make me sound so cool…!
    - Obviously, Andy did something funny.
    - davidcookofficial.com. I’m leaving this here for the remainder of this video blog. Just so you know.
    - Just kidding. That’d be shameless.

  • http://myspace.com/pm68 Pam

The subtitles are just hilarious! :laugh_tb:

  • gingerly

This was great! I want to be Andy when I grow up :)

  • joannmski

He’s getting better at the vlogging! The first few were very straight and he seemed dead tired. I like the livelier Cookie.

  • jan

I love these – they feel so intimate – like David is talking to you personally – I hope he keeps this up regularly.

  • Trina

Did I understand correctly that it has something to do with whatà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s happening after the tour, IE probably the album release? But why shoot it now, so much in advance? Hmmà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ ¦

I’m wondering if it’s for some kind of annual issue some magazines do and it’s set to come out in the fall and he won’t be able to do the shoot at a normal time since he’ll be on tour? Or even a monthy magazine for that matter. The tour and the flying back and forth to record kind of screws up any possible time for much else.

  • Jolene

I hope he keeps this up regularly

Well, they’re getting him a fancy camera and everything! I’m expecting him to keep posting these regularly, at least while the tour is underway.
I think between his and Jason’s Vlogs, that tour bus is pretty much covered. Can’t wait to see some on-the-road videos from the boys.

  • http://www.xanga.com/hisaki_chan707 Hisaki

Hard-to-read-but-funny-anyway subtitles + creepy Andy and his gigantic eyes FTW!

    …also David Cook. :)

  • wfowfowfo

Good lord, Cook is such a frat boy — blogging while riding in the car — screwing around with his friends. His buddy whispering comments behind him while he’s talking. Looks like the old days in the bar, having a good time, mugging for the cameria messing with his friends. Glad he looks so happy.

  • http://myspace.com/saltwatercures pj

I am so glad the idols this year are embracing the vlogs. Thanks for the subtitle translations. LOL. :-)

  • RemusL

Heheh… the subtitle comments are so Stephen Colbert-ish.

    Funny stuff indeed. :laugh_tb:

  • GEEK4VOCAB

    I. LOVE. HIM.

… and with him as always is ANDY!

  • cookcricket

Can somebody tell me who Andy Skibs is? Thanks!

  • sleepyinsomniac

Andy is/was the lead singer of Midwest Kings. His latest effort can be seen/heard here To Have Heroes

This was so good! I loves it.

  • cookcricket

    Thanks sleepyinsomniac!

  • Jolene

Like sleepyinsomniac said, Andy Skib was the lead singer of Midwest Kings while David played guitar and sung backing vocals for them, which you can see here, here, and here.
Also, Andy did backing vocals on some of the old Axium tracks and on David’s “Silver” from AH.
He’s currently in LA, and there’s been some speculation that he may be getting involved in David’s solo career. He’s also promoting his own music, so I’m not sure how much of it is wishful thinking… but I think it would be awesome.

  • Layla

I flove this vlog! This is the DC I have been missing! Subtitles cracked me up. Andy is adorable and a pretty damn good singer. So glad that DC is hanging with one of his “boys” from the pre-Idol days.

Hope we keep getting these fun vlogs from the tour.

  • cooktard76

    This was cute.
But I enjoy Jason’s myspace and vlogs so much more. They’re just more real and, I dunno, homey?
And Andy in the back, just distracted me, I couldnt concentrate on Cookie.
Still, any Cookie crumb will do, I am NOT complaining. =)

  • cooktard76

Ugh, ok, after going back and reading everyone else’s comments, I feel bad for not loving it now, lol. And thank you for the subtitles b/c I thought it was just my computer or something that I couldnt make half of them out. The subtitles were hillarious!

  • sleepyinsomniac

hereà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s been some speculation that he may be getting involved in Davidà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s solo career. Heà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s also promoting his own music, so Ià ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢m not sure how much of it is wishful thinkingà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ ¦ but I think it would be awesome.

I hope that this isn’t too OT but count me in as one of those people who would love it. Andy has some really good stuff with this solo effort. I would love for him to be in David’s career but I’m also wishing that he continues with To Have Heroes because I’m loving what he’s done so far.

Back to David, I’m loving the fact that he took time out to put in the subtitles. At least even if the vlog was short, there was something extra for the fans. In a way, it was a pretty smart move. He didn’t really give anything new as to what’s going on (music, tour, etc.) but it left the fans plenty satisfied.

  • Patchchat

Is the magazine shoot for Halloween? Wondering who’s eyebrows Cooksie is wearing.

Cooksie giving us a camera full of Michael Johns and Archuleta. Must he? Really … must he? Enough already. Can we see a little more of Chekesie? Witty, pleasant, never off-putting. Ramielle? An unknown entity. Even KLC — usually overlooked.

But Michael and the Beaver??? Save us.

  • Layla

I enjoy Jason’s vlogs but have a feeling they will all be pretty much the same style each time…the slightly “70′s show” stoner “where am I” type of thing.

However with DC, he is so funny and creative that I think the vlogs will be as varied as he is talented. With him it’s exciting because you just don’t know which DC you’re gonna get…flove that about him!!!

  • Mesmerized

when i saw the subs the first thing i remembered is the 2 girlz from the rolling stones video .. the ones that edited the video so that their names flashed across the screen .. i remember him cracking up while watching it .. so i guess that was what inspired this vlog :lol_tb:

  • http://myspace.com/girlgeek mj

However with DC, he is so funny and creative that I think the vlogs will be as varied as he is talented. With him ità ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s exciting because you just donà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢t know which DC youà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢re gonna getà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ ¦flove that about him!!!

It’s a clever video, but it’s pretty easy for cookie to be creative when he has the label giving him a hand. The videos so far look professional, they aren’t homemade efforts.

  • jan

MJ – that’s interesting that you think the videos look professional. The first one was certainly professional – but the last 2 didn’t look like they were professionally made at all – and that’s what I liked about them. What makes you think the last 2 were professionally made?

  • Lera

On Andy’s myspace page he has a VLOG 1 (leftside toward bottom) and in it he thanks the Word Nerds and David Cook’s fans for their support. He is excited he said that new things coming up.

I wonder if he won’t be a part of David Cook’s album and they will tour together, but also Andy has a album being released or just released.

  • http://myspace.com/girlgeek mj

What makes you think the last 2 were professionally made?

At this point, David has a team, and I imagine they are responsible for these videos. They aren’t fancy productions, but I can’t imagine David has the time or inclination to put these videos together on his own.

  • http://absinthedreamers.blogspot.com/ Starrlight

I wondered about Andy too and the possibility he’d be involved with David’s album. After all the guy *is* gonna need a band. That said Andy still needs to release his EP. I bought all the downloads but I still like CD back up ;)

  • jan

At this point, David has a team, and I imagine they are responsible for these videos. They arenà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢t fancy productions, but I canà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢t imagine David has the time or inclination to put these videos together on his own.

Agreed – I know that he has a team (it sounds so funny, David now has “people”) – and I agree that they put stuff together for him – however I thought the subtitles while clever were often in a font that was too hard to read so maybe not done by a professional – and some of the content of the captions sounded totally like him.

My imagination runs to a scenario where someone on the team says time to make another vlog – David finds some time to video it – probably with the help of said “team” – I’m surely he was reminded to say DavidCookOfficial.com in the video – maybe he (or even Andy) plays with the captions – then he hands it off to the team to run with it. (I’m sure that the myspace page itself is totally run by label people – cause that’s just the way it is done.) Of course this is only in my mind – so who knows what the actual scenario is.

  • Jolene

About how professional or not the videos are – The first one was obviously filmed and edited by someone who knew what they were doing, and I’m pretty sure David had talking points he needed to mention in that one.
But – the 2nd and 3rd videos? I think other than possibly uploading them to YouTube, they’re all David. They were both filmed using his laptop (on the 2nd one it was very obvious, because each time he moved his legs, the camera moved, and the 3rd looks like the same quality and positioning). Also – DC has experience in website design, so I’d think editing some subtitles into a short video will be piece of cake for him. Also I have no doubt the one-liners are his. Those are very much his sense of humor.
Just MO, but I didn’t get a sense of outside intervention by a “team” on this.

  • Trina

I think right now they’re all David with the exception of the first one. The subtitles I have a feeling he got that idea from the Rolling Stone “Ask a Rock Star” thing when the fans had the video question with the caption because he cracked up over that. However I suspect these vlogs will eventually get an upgrade and possibly have a bit more TPTB influence (“they’re gonna give me a fancy little camera”). I’m assuming “they” would be 19.

  • mar_4DC

I thought his vlog was cute, and it is great seeing hime having fun. I also would love to give a big thank you for the link to Andy’s To Have Heroes songs. These songs are great, thanks!

  • sumidol

I have a feeling that Davids team would have to have a part in them and approve them for air. They are putting a lot of money into David C, he has a signed contract now so everything he does affects them too I would think. They are still fun to watch but he is their “product” that will make himself and TPTB lots of money, none of them can afford to have anything go out without making sure it is cleared of anything that might not be the Idol image they are shooting for. I dont think they script them, it is David but kinda censored. That is why for now Jason can do and say whatever he wants and it is more “homey” and (not like a pot head at all but endearing!) but I like it that we still get to see David C face to face like that in a closer setting than some interviewer asking the same old dum or akward questions of him.

  • http://myspace.com/girlgeek mj

My imagination runs to a scenario where someone on the team says time to make another vlog – David finds some time to video it – probably with the help of said “team” – I’m surely he was reminded to say DavidCookOfficial.com in the video – maybe he (or even Andy) plays with the captions – then he hands it off to the team to run with it. (I’m sure that the myspace page itself is totally run by label people – cause that’s just the way it is done.)

Actually, that scenario sounds reasonable. He covers all the important talking points in his video–including the start of the tour and his website URL and for that reason, I believe there was intervention from TBTB.

And, while the sense of humor sounds like his, I find it hard to imagine he’s got time for post production video editing, even of the most rudimentary kind–considering his jam-packed schedule.

And finally, anything uploaded to his official sites would have to have the approval of his “team”, I believe.

  • wfowfowfo

I’m with you, MJ — I can’t imagine that tptb would set him loose on his own with the vblogs. They must have final approval or some type of control. They must have the type deal with Archie — especially with his Dad lurking nearby. (Sorry, no tomatoes, not a fan of Dad.)

  • http://myspace.com/pm68 Pam

I have to agree with mj and jan on this. It’s obvious that the vid does have some of TPTB influence on it hence davidcookofficial.com in the subtitles. It was sort of TBTB with touches of DC’s personality mixed in with it and since they own his page as mj stated, anything that goes on it I would think would need the approval of his team too because it is about maintaining the “image” to a degree because after all you are representing AI. I throughly enjoyed it and look forward to hopefully more vids like this. :D

  • GEEK4VOCAB

Do you have any idea how easy it is to record and edit an imovie using a mac?

Those subtitles are ALL DC. A professional would have made them bigger and easier to read and probably would have had the site address up the whole time.

And TPTB might not have enjoyed Andy in the background.

DC definitely doesn’t have time to deal with his insane 96,000 friend myspace, but this video is all genuinely him, in my opinion.

And yes, I think he WAS inspired by those girls from the Rolling Stone video. CUTE!

  • http://myspace.com/girlgeek mj

    Geek4vocab:

If you haven’t already, take a look at my guidelines:

    http://mjsbigblog.com/?page_id=1172

My original point in a nutshell really was this: Jason flies solo, David has help and has to answer to a higher power.

I’m not going to compare the two.

  • jan

Wow, you guys are over analyzing just a tad, I think.
Do you have any idea how easy it is to record and edit an imovie using a mac?

No worries – just thinking about it that’s all – and please note that my scenario has the creation as totally DCs with just the knowledge to include some things that need to be said.

However, I absolutely love them – no matter if there is some outside influence or not – it feels personal – like he is talking to me directly. And that’s why these things work – it’s a way of reaching out to thousands of people who want to talk to him.

  • cookcricket

Love the vlog!! Thanks for the Andy Skib links, sleepy and Jolene! Okay brief OT, if I may, in Andy’s list of many musical influences he puts Nickle Creek toward the bottom. My hubby’s band covers Nickle Creek, so I feel a distant connection to DC!!!LOL!:) Love it!

  • cookcricket

I just saw a picture of DC leaving the “Glamour Party” over on DC LJ community. It looks as if Andy is w/ him. I had wondered if this was the interview he had gone to w/ him.
Sorry no connection, but if you visit, I just want to say, I like the boots!:)

  • Patchchat

    Why is Andy important?

  • jan

I just saw a picture of DC leaving the à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã…“Glamour Partyà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ over on DC LJ community. It looks as if Andy is w/ him. I had wondered if this was the interview he had gone to w/ him.

LOL – and his publicist is with him too – nice pictures – and I love the boots.

  • Jenn_AI Fan

My guess is that its probably a combination of what TPTB want and what DC wants. I would not be surprised if he said that he wanted subtitles and wanted to mock the concept of going to magazine shoots and documenting what was going on in his life. He also almost certainly wanted Andy Skib to be part of the shoot. His instincts are good, so probably most if not all of his ideas on the vlogs have been deemed acceptable and they’ve let him have his head on it.

He very well may not have had time to edit the video/add subtitles himself. I don’t think it’s very hard to do (especially for anyone whose had graphic design training), and my guess is that most indie musicians know how to do a vlog—myspace seems to the new way of getting noticed as an indie musician.

  • sumidol

“Ià ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢m with you, MJ à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬’ I canà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢t imagine that tptb would set him loose on his own with the vblogs.”

    And me and me!

Analyzing the info we are given and debating it back and forth on here is what makes this blog fun to go back to. You listen(well read) and learn – agree or disagree. I wish it was so easy for ME to edit, upload, add subtitles to a spot. I am learning from my 14 year old son still on how to do all of that but you want to know how to put that spot into a show and make sure it airs at the right time, then I am your woman.

  • kathrynTX

Whoever whatever however the vids are made, edited, uploaded etc I appreciate them as a fan. David obviously took SOME time to record these or have them recorded or whatever. I like them. Isn’t the purpose of these to be somewhat “personally connected” with his fans? It’s workin’ for me! I really like them muchly (new word LOL!). And now I’d like Andy to be myfriend on myspace too! I have discovered lots of other music thanks to David Cook’s sudden & unexpected appearance on the scene. On my scene. OK I’m taking this very personally – in my life HAH! I’ve definitely made a personal (and financial) investment in this man and I’m loving it. And him. OK this isn’t a fansite…I know…. SOOOOO, I thought the subtitles were hilarious (saw the other girls’ vid too) and the bottom line is I like David’s vlogs. Thanks, mj.

  • RemusL

I think DC has pretty much free reign to post what he wants on blogs and vlogs as long as he uses good judgment. I would presume both the record label and his management team know him well enough by now that they’re confident he isn’t a loose cannon. Of course, the label would have the power and the right to remove anything it deems unacceptable.

In any case, I find it hard to believe the record company would want to micromanage every aspect of his career. After all, DC has already done countless media interviews and functions and has demonstrated an aptitude for communicating to the pubic.

And yes, iMovie has the reputation of being very user-friendly. Subtitling a 1:16 webcam video clip isn’t really much “post-production” at all.

  • sumidol

If I invested thousands and thousands of dollars into one person I sure as heck would want and need to know how my dollars were spent, so to speak. You have seen it happen time after time with even the most squeaky clean singer or actor or the worst – say the wrong thing or forget to wear your underwear and the whole world jumps down your throat and your career takes a nose dive. I do hope they keep coming they are very nice versus the same ole, same ole interviewers questions no matter who had the last word. I just got to know though – who came first the chicken or the egg? Not really, I really dont have to know, just like discussing it. I think I will stop now though, I have to finish my laundry, I was trying to get out of it by discussing this much more interesting topic but I cant put it off any longer.

  • Mia

He is pretty smart. He has a design background. The Vlog seems very much him. The management may make him edit anything objectionable but I doubt they are going to control every little thing he does. It is like sending him out there to perform with no help i.e. Michael Orland. They know he can handle it with just his guitar. Same with media, he can handle it. Same with the Vlog, he knows what he is doing, he can hadle it.

  • Jolene

If I invested thousands and thousands of dollars into one person I sure as heck would want and need to know how my dollars were spent, so to speak.

See, that’s what I would think too, but than a crack team of monkeys could do a better job maintaining his MySpace than whatever intern they have on it does.

If you can believe they pay so little attention to something as important as his only official site, than you can definitely believe they’d let him speak freely for a minute and 16 seconds. Worst case scenario, they tell him to make another one, or edit out anything which doesn’t fit “the image”.

To me, this is DC. They may have told him to mention the site, the tour, whatever, but honestly, after doing so many interviews and making sure to mention those things in every single one of them, by now I think he doesn’t need anyone to tell him what needs to be said. He’s not a dumb Cookie, that’s for sure.

  • jan

I think some of you are missing the point – I and most others love the vlog – if you look at my imagined scenario – the video and even the captions are pure David – and MJ thought my scenario was realistic.

The only thing some of us are saying is that David now has a “team” that helps take care of things for him. His schedule is so over-crowded now that his head must be spinning at times. I’m happy he has help.

And as the lead representative of AI this year – he needs to let everyone know about the tour dates – and as a representative of the label he needs to remind people of the website name. He also has to be more guarded in the things that he says – and he does this admirably. (Look at David’s pre-Idol writing or performances and you will see that there are things he said then that he can’t say now. But he is young – and when the contract is over – he will have more freedom to express himself.)

David does a great job at promotion and AI must be thanking their lucky stars that they have such a wonderful winner.

  • fannatic

All I can say is that David Cook is HOTT! more vlogs please :mrgreen_wp:

  • k4dc

My guess is that Andy helped out with the editing of the vlog. I don’t know that David himself would phrase some of the things the way it was presented, i.e. calling himself “Sugarfoot,” saying “Doesn’t that make me sound so cool” and mentioning Andy twice. It’s all very tongue-in-cheek, and it just looks more like Andy’s style than David’s, IMO. And the fact that they mentioned “A gratuitous use of iMovie” at the beginning just makes me think that they did it themselves. I’ve used iMovie, and the editing that they did would take mere minutes.

Regardless, it’s good to see David enjoying himself, with his friends, and I hope that Andy is part of David’s musical future. I enjoy seeing them together, as I know a lot of other women do. ;-)

  • sumidol

“See, thatà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s what I would think too, but than a crack team of monkeys could do a better job maintaining his MySpace than whatever intern they have on it does.”

Speaking of monkeys and his myspace – they have set it up now that you cannot add David C, on his official myspace page, unless you know his last name or email address. You type in Cook and that must not be the way it is set up on his profile because that doesnt work. I thought I would try to add it as I have a few other musicians that just add automatically. I wonder what is up with that?

  • jan

Speaking of monkeys and his myspace – they have set it up now that you cannot add David C, on his official myspace page, unless you know his last name or email address.

I just tried it with a myspace page that I have just for adding musicians. That is really strange. I’ve never heard of a music page that restricted friends – I thought the whole purpose was to have as many friends as possible for getting out the news.

  • sumidol

I KNOW! Musicians usually just automatically add fans. Fans are their bread and butter and the more fans you have the more sales and stuff. Now I know he has been known as cocky mcsmugface but that is a little too cocky? It has got to be the monkeys at work, I do not believe that he would say, Ok I have 96,000.00 fans on here – thats enough, thats my limit, but the last fan added was 1:30P yesterday????!!!

  • jan

Who ever is running the myspace is very slow about adding fans – I’ve been watching – they appear to do it only every few days. I also have one of my myspace pages that has been waiting over a week to be added – this was before the requirement of knowing his last name or email address.

Whatever it is – it is NOT David – I don’t believe he is running the page – it is the label – and someone really goofed on the settings.

  • sumidol

Yes that has got to be it – someone goofed

  • http://myspace.com/pm68 Pam

I think someone goofed on the page thing too. I too have noticed about the several days that go by before a big influx of friends are added to the page. If you look at some of the comments for this vlog, some of the fans have tried to add him and have been unsuccessful as well as a few other fans.

  • Jolene

Ha, and I didn’t even know about the friend thing when I made that monkey comment. What complete incompetence.
Fans will go back and try to get added later, but the more casual visitors will just give up.
Whoever is in charge of his MySpace should be fired. Yesterday.

You see, this sort of thing is exactly why I don’t put too much stock into the thought that every single thing is choreographed and orchestrated… This sort of thing shouldn’t be happening when professionals are involved.

  • kathrynTX

Wow that thing about getting added as a friend is weird. Yeah whoever is running his myspace needs to step it up a notch or six! Glad I requested an add long before he won AI! hahaha. Hey remember, Sugarfoot was the nickname he got due to his great dancing skills in the group numbers on AI. Too funny. I liked that vlog a lot. As I already made clear in a previous post. Just wanted to mention the Sugarfoot connection. Love David Cook! And now am liking Mr Skib and his music quite a bit too. Ah well it’s only money, I can make more….

  • aly

I liked the non pro feel of it. I like the fact he and Michael are buddies
Bring on the shennanigans u2, and let us see. Can’t wait

  • ShariG

It took about a week or maybe a little longer before I was added as a friend on David’s myspace page. I am not very technologically advanced and wasn’t sure I had made the request in the right way, but it worked. Who ever is doing the myspace official page needs to change the color of the text on that very dark gray page. It is difficult to read. I love the videoblogs. To me they seem genuine and like they come from David. It doesn’t seem to me that he needs anyone from AI to tell him that it would be a good idea to thank his fans and keep them informed of what he is up to. He just seems like that kind of guy to me. He has said that they have given him a lot of freedom and I think it is because he has a good head on his shoulders and a good sense of what works for him and what doesn’t. I really appreciate that he has taken the time to send us the video blogs and am looking forward to more.

  • carrie13

Exactly right. An intelligent guy like that is given much more freedom because they trust his judgement. He’s also 25, not 17, which makes a difference. He’s doing a great job so far, keeping it real for us with the homemade vlogs. Entertaining and self deprecating (which is good). Very un-Hollywood… how refreshing.

  • http://www.myspace.com/gwendolyndiane GwendolynD

This is probably my favorite one.

Andy’s got some big ol’ eyes! :laugh_tb: His music is definitely worth a listen….

  • sumidol

“It took about a week or maybe a little longer before I was added as a friend on Davidà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s myspace page. I am not very technologically advanced and wasnà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢t sure I had made the request in the right way, but it worked”

You cant even make the request now unless you know his last name, which is something made up because it is not Cook and people who are added cannot post comments anymore. Everything stopped at 130p on 6/27, the last day someone logged on. I talked to a few other people who requested his “friendship” before that date and they were denied, so something is up with it. I would say because he is going on the tour but no other Idols space is doing that so I will just come here as usual and look for these vlogs and things. I think he needs a 12-14 year old like Jasons sister to run it instead of a team and you can bet it would be looked at and taken care of everyday, if I know my pre teens to teens!

  • AInoob

I agree that whoever is running his myspace page needs to be shot. I don’t even bother checking it that often anymore because I know it has nothing current about him. It took them how long to even update his profile to show that he was signed to RCA? Give me a break. You know his management is running this site, you’d think they’d do a better job. Aside from how its run, the whole look of it is something I (someone who joined myspace just so I can see his name pics and videos – lookwhatthehellyou’vedonetomedavidcook) could probably put together and I have no clue what the heck I’m doing on myspace :rolleyes_wp:

Funny! I got the basics to keep an eye on my kids spaces and then found MJ’s and my favorites this year and some really nice people from here and now look at me, trying to get David Cook on my friends list. My space is pretty bland too except for a few tweaks given to it by my 14 year old. That is why I KNOW a 12-14 year old would do much better with his site, let Jackie do it David.
