Danny Gokey and His Wife Layicet are Expecting a Baby

Season 8 American Idol alum, Danny Gokey announced via twitter today that he an is wife, Leyicet, are expecting a baby in January.

Hey guys I’m happy to announce that my wife @leyicet and I are having a baby!! She a little over 3 months pregnant & due in January!!! Yay!!

The couple were married in January of this year. “We are so thankful to have found each other and now be able to spend the rest of our lives together,” the newlyweds told People magazine at the time.

As most of you know, it was Danny’s second marriage. He lost his first wife, Sophia, in 2008–just weeks before his Idol audition–after a routine surgery for congenital heart disease.

    Congrats to Danny and his wife.

    I think with Carrie, her husband has a job that requires him to travel to so many places just like when she is working. I think, they should and can wait for a couple more years.

    With Kris, who knows ?. Zorro is quite a handful as of now, I think.
