Chris Richardson and Melinda Doolittle to Host Dreyer’s Ice Cream Promotional Parties

Season 6′s Chris Richardson recently mentioned in a My Space bulletin that he and Melinda Doolittle had gone out to San Fransisco for a photo shoot for Dreyer’s Ice Cream.

Now it appears to be official–Chris and Melinda will be this year’s offishul spokespeople for the Dryer’s/Edy’s American Idol ice cream promotion. Check it OUT. And if you live on the East coast the company is called Edy’s.

My friend Schmanda called this one. Schmanda won an ice cream party at her house hosted by Season 5 7th place winner Ace Young. The contest was part of Dryer’s interactive American Idol promotion that featured a vote-off between ice cream flavors. Whee! Gotta love those tie-ins. ETA: OMG Check out the jingles for each Ice Cream flavor (under Flavor Performances).   I hope Chris and Melinda are being paid well. Heh.

By all accounts, Schmanda and her friends had a swell time at the party, with Ace as a gracious and charming host.

Afterward, Schmanda mentioned to me that the affable and outgoing Chris Richardson would be perfect to host the Season 7 parties.

I guess she and TPTB at Dryer’s had some sort of mind-meld! Wow. Afterward, she sent me the links to the websites. Thanks Schmanda!

    Tara, my thoughts EXACTLY. :) The problem is, the party is in Tampa and you have to have a Tampa address to register, I think.

    Sarah, how far out of Tampa are you? IIRC when I entered last year, they wanted people something within like 15-20 miles of the city in question. I don’t know if they’ve made it more stringent for this year, but FWIW I actually live about 15 miles outside of Richmond.

    I live in Orlando, Schmanda. It’s about 60 miles away, so too far, period. Unless they’ve let up a little on the rules, I’m out.
