Watch Carrie Underwood’s behind the scenes interview and studio performance of “It Had To Be You” on Tony Bennett’s PBS special.

Carrie is one of the artists, along with Lady Gaga, Michael Buble and Amy Winehouse, the legendary crooner collaborated with for his recent Duets II album.

“I would have sang anything,” Carrie explains about her collaboration with Tony, “Whatever he wanted, I was there. He requested ‘It Had To Be You’”

“Being able to stand there with Tony, on a stage and seeing the band members…it was a very organic way of doing things. I’ve never been lucky enough to be able to do something like that before.”

I can’t even put into words how awesome this duet is.  I remember the first time that mj posted the first duet they did.  I loved it then and nothing has changed.  It’s nice to see Carrie (and I would even say this about Kelly as well) being able to go outside of her comfort zone and trying new things outside of their genre.

This was a real treat.  Thanks mj!
