Carrie Underwood – Good Morning America – (VIDEO)

Carrie Underwood performed a mini concert as the skies drizzled rain for Good Morning America.

Watch as Carrie performs songs from her new album, Blown Away, including “Good Girl”, “Cupid’s Got a Shotgun” and “Nobody Told You”, also watch a performance of her hit “Cowboy Casanova”.

Carrie is killing it in this NY promo tour.
I’m surprised she didn’t perform Blown Away because that looks like her next single but I’m liking the song choices from the album.

There’s almost no people there, that’s unusual. I still don’t like good girl.

That’s another strong performance of Good Girl but the performance that really stuck out to me is Cupid’s Got A Shotgun, which she slays live. It’s one of my favorites on the album anyway and the live version is possibly even better. I hope that one’s a single because the lyrics are very witty and I love how country the song is. Since Brad and Carrie are both going to be at the Opry on 5/12 I’m hoping we’ll get another Cupid’s Got A Shotgun performance there with him doing his guitar part. Not that Carrie’s band is a bunch of slouches either, I love the attention they’ve been getting lately for how great they are.

Great crowd considering the rain. Carrie seemed really appreciative of that.

Great performances on GMA!  I enjoyed these even more than those on Live on Letterman.

She performed “Cupid’s Got a Shotgun” and “Nobody Ever Told You” on both mini-concerts though and it’s making me just a little itty-bitty concerned that they’ll be singles.  I’m hoping it’s more of a “We’re Young and Beautiful” situation where she performs the song on live TV appearances but it was never made a single.

Because there are only limited single slots and I do NOT want NETY to take one of them.  After “Good Girl” and “Blown Away,” please have “Two Black Cadillacs” in the line-up, Team Carrie.  I would also love “Do You Think About Me” and “One Way Ticket” to be released.  Thank you.

I see what you mean, windmills, (from the other thread) about CGAS being “the redneckiest country song she’s ever done”.  lol  Carrie’s developing into a very versatile performer.

My guess is they’re holding the title track back for another round of TV performances. Or, maybe she’ll sing it at the Billboard Music Awards. Carrie did an interview with CMT where she said they had a while to go before Good Girl peaks so it looks like they’ll stick with it at radio for now.

I think the album selections Carrie’s performing give a good sense of the range of songs on the album. You’ve got Good Girl on one end, Cupid’s Got A Shotgun on the other end, and then you’ve got a sweet peppy country/pop tune in the middle there somewhere.

I’m afraid to comment on possible single choices, lol even though I’d like to see Cupid’s Got A Shotgun released.

Haha, I thought you’d agree! I’m glad you watched! And, IA about Carrie developing into a very versatile performer.

After hearing the track last week or the week before, I totally get it too.  Heh
I think it rocks though.  :)

Carrie has such swagger on stage.  She has really grown as a performer and the title of versitile certainly fits her.  I this CD will do very well.

    Thanks for the vids mj!

Love Live Carrie. :)  Her band is amazing. Her voice is sounding better than ever.

Loving the versatility on the new album and hearing Carrie expand her range ( of genres) just a bit. There’s several tracks on the album that i just instantly LOVED.

Good Girl isn’t one of them lol

But dont let that put you off, Blown Away is a wonderful album. :)
