I’m not sure if the American Idol 12 Top 10 were supposed to spill the beans or not. But word is out. Legendary Motown producer, executive and performer, Smokey Robinson, will be on hand to help the kids take on the songs of Motown.
Smokey has a long history with Idol. He’s performed on the show several times and was a special guest mentor during Season 8’s Motown week.
“Meeting Smokie Robinson for the first time was such a pleasure! he’s so nice & genuine! & did I mention that he’s a man of God? #booyah :D,” tweeted Devin Velez.
Lazaro Arbos tweeted, “I just met smokey Robinson it was such an amazing talk :)”
And Candice Glover tweeted, ” Just met the LEGEND that is our mentor this week. Think I got lip gloss on his shirt. #whyme #sonervous
