Press release for next week’s American Idol 11 Top 12 performance and results.  No theme has been announced yet. Daughtry will perform “Outta My Head” on the results show:

Finalist Jeremy Rosado was eliminated tonight on American Idol. Rosado received the fewest votes among the boys and Elise Testone received the fewest votes among the girls. Then, judges Randy Jackson, Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler sent Rosado home. On Wednesday’s performance show, the guys sang songs by Stevie Wonder and the ladies paid special tribute to Whitney Houston. On tonight’s results show, this week’s mentor, Mary J. Blige, sang her latest hit “Why” and Season 10 runner-up Lauren Alaina performed her Smash hit “Georgia Peaches.”

Next week, on Wednesday, March 14 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT tape-delayed), the Top 12 – DeAndre Brackensick, Hollie Cavanagh, Colton Dixon, Heejun Han, Jermaine Jones, Skylar Laine, Joshua Ledet, Shannon Magrane, Phillip Phillips, Jessica Sanchez, Elise Testone and Erika Van Pelt – will take to the IDOL stage to perform for America’s votes!

Tune in the following night, Thursday, March 15 (8:00-9:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) to the live results show to find out which Top 12 finalist is sent home. In addition, IDOL alum Daughtry will return to perform “Outta My Head.”

“To be fair, Haley did give a stank face or two in there and she did push back on some of the criticism but she kept a good attitude.”
That was her breaking point, top 5 and 4, where after foolish comments by foolish judges, I would want to smack them, too.  ;)

I wonder how soon after the show ends that they snap this picture. It looks like her emotions (shock, sadness, disappointment) are still running high. Poor Elise. I hope she can turn it around next week

Thank you  J04SuperMaN for putting this into perspective. It does sound like you know Elise. I’m still going for her although I can’t vote. I love her unique style. This photo probably was taken straight after the show-actually it would have been better balanced had Elise been the other side of P2 . I am confident Elise can come back strongly next week as she has more choice of songs from the Year you are born.

When it was down to Elise and Hollie last night, and Hollie was called safe, she reached out to Elise, who basically brushed her off and just proceeded to walk over to the elimination chair.  Can’t blame that on editing.  It was more like sore loser than anything.

My goodness – we are now at the point where we judge a person based on a promotion picture?   We should remember that promotion pictures aren’t simply “Gather together – I’ll take a shot of you – then you can all leave”.  The photographer positions them, etc.   Perhaps Elise just doesn’t like to smile for pictures.  Or perhaps she is cold-hearted, can’t stand the other contestants, and thinks the Idol machine is a joke.   I would bet more on the former than the latter – but the bottom line is, none of us has any idea.

    I agree.

Too be honest, if you look at all of the Top 13 party videos floating around, she seems to get along well with the others…and she only seems to smile when she’s laughing. Also, if anyone takes a look at her pre-idol YouTube videos, she almost never smiles. So I don’t think she has ever been coached on the benefits of a fake-it-’til-you-make-it facial expression while performing, interviewing, or taking pictures. Also, If you compare Top 24 results (after a good night) with Top 13 results night (after a bad night), she seems “unhappy” in each…I only really had a problem with the way she handled the whole song-switching situation and the judges feedback. She needs to play the game better. But she can’t be too surprised that people would associate her stone-face with a bad attitude now that there is a specific negative situation to associate it with.

I really hope Elise stays in long enough to take her natural skills to the next level (And I really, really want her on the tour!)
