The 2000 census has 12% of Americans listed as African American. 2 out of 10 Bachelors, being African American is 20% of the Top 10. I see no controversy there.
But an openly gay man, making the top 10? That is great!

But People Magazine is going to have to print one of those retraction/disclaimer thingies saying they screwed up by calling him the winner of AI — that’s a major goof-up. And just unexcusable, especially considering they’ve already done a couple of interviews with Kris. Talk about a slap in the face.

Speaking of Kris…when does People’s “Most Beautiful People” issue come out? Because I can see him (and Adam, for that matter), being in that issue. I can’t remember when that comes out. I used to get that issue and the one of the Hottest Bachelors every year — but haven’t done so in recent years, so have forgotten when that one comes out.

After watching AI all these seasons, I’m trying to remember if any Idol contestant, regardless of placement, has ever had quite this much buzz with music producers, the media, etc.

I totally agree that America usually doesn’t show diversity in beauty, entertainment, etc., but People only lists 11 out of the 50. Adam is the winner by almost every metric. Album sales, video sales, media coverage, Simon’s press release battle (thanks M. Slezak), ebay items, internet searches… Public vote shmublic vote Single sales… Don’t want to commit to an entire album of Kris’s I can understand that… I concede and congratulate Kris on those two victories. Kris fans complaining about Adam being called an American Idol winner shows their disagreement Kris who himself said that Adam and he were both winners both before and after the finale. Adam deserves this honor and all the others that will be coming his way.

I’m just very happy that an openly gay man made the list. I don’t care where he is on the list, or what Idol made the cover before. This is huge for the gay community. (Who cares about wording. Both guys have said they are both winners – and they are. But glad they deleted the word so Kris fans don’t get all upset)

It’s been my routine to open mjsbigblog first thing in the morning and it’s so nice to get exciting news about Adam for weeks now. I hope this will continue until he releases his album.

Haha — I don’t think height is a requirement for being considered beautiful — I’m short and I am absolutely GORGEOUS (she said with a stunning lack of humility — and an extreme amount of inaccuracy) And I know you were joking, but Kris is 5’7″(which isn’t really all that short).

Kris is smokin’ HOT — so I would be very surprised if he didn’t make that issue. Especially if it comes out after his debut album drops and the album is successful.

This got me curious…so I checked our population demographic and based on that out of 10 people we should have…

6 1/2 white
1 1/2 hispanic/latino
1 1/4 black
1/2 asian
1/4 other (American Indian, Eskimo)

So out of 50 bachelors we should have 33 white, 8 hispanic/latino, 6 black, 2 asian, 1 other to be politically correct.

And someone mentioned they thought Archie was on the list last year….nope he wasn’t (good thing that….since he was just 17…and I think they choose guys who are at least “marrying” age)

Why are we talking about Kris’s height? Anyway, Kris is a very good looking guy, most of Adam’s fans would agree with that. I am sure he will be on all of the beautiful/sexiest man lists soon. It seems like Adam’s fans are more acceptive of Kris. Kris’s fans (not Kradam fans) don’t seem to like Adam at all.

Yeah!!! Adam is the hottest human on the planet. Sooooo happy for him.

I wouldn’t expect Adam to be tweeting much anytime soon (if this is in fact really him on twitter)…he’s been way too busy. Matt, Anoop, etc. seem to be tweeting during their down time — either at rehearsal or before/after. Since they aren’t getting scads of publicity, they seem to have more down time than Adam does. And they seem to really enjoy talking to their friends and fans on twitter, which is cool.

It’ll be interesting to see if, going forward (A) Adam starts tweeting a lot, actually using twitter as another way to generate interest and establish some contact with his fans, and (B) if anyone is able to talk Kris into getting a twitter account (that seems unlikely, since he called twitter “the devil” in one interview he did — but someone on his management team might try and convince him to get one since the site is so popular)

I loved his comment about Gene Simmons — honest but tactful. All that attention about Adam’s sexuality didn’t come from Adam, and I am glad he reminded people of that.

Adam didn’t have a choice but to address the situation. The media would never have left him alone if he hadn’t said something publicly. Saying that he wasn’t going to answer people’s questions wasn’t really an option for him if he ever wanted any peace. I’m glad people are beginning to move on and talk about his music and album. I would bet he’s relieved about that as well!

Regarding Drake, I think he’s being pretty realistic in his situation. Going on tour and making an album is a lot to do, without adding a relationship on top. All the other contestants have 3, Allison does have 3 and the duet, Danny has 4 solos (no duet) but he did mention a group song but I’m thinking that’s probably the ending group song?, so it would make sense that Adam has 5 (which includes the duet). If they are long-distance and busy in their lives, I can certainly see it not being an “exclusive” thing. oh and I also read on some link to the hollywood access thing I think that he was interested in coming out with how own line of eyeliner and nail polish and I think that’s a GREAT idea! Its very innovative and original because sooooo many artist have perfume and clothing lines, so I think his idea is great.

Regarding Adamà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s twitter account, if you follow him, you can see his posts but unless he follows you, he wonà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢t see any of your @therealglambert tweets.

Actually, while any @therealglambert tweets won’t appear in his main twitter feed unless he is following you, they will all appear under his “@therealglambert” menu option on the right hand side of his page. Whether or not he will actually look at that is anybody’s guess. But we can hope!

It was nice to à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã…“hearà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬  Adam at the live chat, but I wish the moderator would have picked questions that we didnà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢t already know the answers to. A lot were repeats.

I don’t think the moderator is going to check out every interview Adam has done since Idol to see what questions have already been asked.

@cay It doens’t matter when it will end so long as i we are part of the journey. As an adam fan, i will continue to support him on everything he does. I will buy his CD, go to his concerts and continue to support all his causes. I hope the other fans are like that as well. Well the detractors and haters can just die.

Adam confirmed that it is his twitter account during the Comcast interview this afternoon.

If Kris is still a bachelor, SURELY he would be in the list too. Anyway, it’s just a happy thing that Adam was chosen despite being openly gay. LOL. I love him!

hellothere, you think you’re too cool for this huh. if you go to other articles about another particular celebrity, i don’t think their fans do anything different. of course they’ll think their fave is always the best. it might seem that people are overreacting about adam now but it’s because the excitement is there. adam is new. to me, your post only sprinkled arrogance that’s all.

I can see why Adam made the list. I can also see how he would be sexy to both men and women!
