We are in for a visual treat tonight as my friend Suz526 is at The Warfield tonight with her trusty camera!

These photos are there look professional. I love all of them. Any one of the three could be used on an album cover, poster, newspaper article……etc. Awesome!

Holy crap – awesome photo!!! I won’t be staying up for tonight’s concert as I have to go back to work tomorrow. Vacation is over. Great news about the Itunes position for IIHY! He should get a bump since Ellen and Oprah are both on again this week!

The pictures are beautiful. Never have commented on them before, but wow.

As usual I can’t stay up, but will look forward to the videos after work tomorrow. I wish it was the IIHY on Ellen (that show was repeated recently)…and IIHY on Oprah, but they don’t show it. At least they didn’t in my neck of the woods. But WWFM is stellar in both shows. Have told all my non-loving Adam friends to watch, especially Oprah.

That’s great news for IIHY. Since the Lansing show, our local station has added “Hi this is Adam Lambert” to the string along with “This is Kesha” etc. Pretty cool to hear him all during the day. While driving back from up north yesterday, 97.5 played IIHY twice within 1 hour. They’re showing him major love.

They still don’t play IIHY in my area. Not sure anymore what to do. I’ve requested, sent e-mails to dj’s…I think I’m giving up.

Torture is … being 1 hour from an AL concert and not being able to go due to RL. It’s killing me. I better get some fresh air. I am trying hard to be a good sport and be thankful I got to go Friday.

Thanks Adamland and MJ for the concert thread tonight. You guys who have actually heard IIHU on your radio stations are so lucky. My favorite radio station is a a cumulus station and who knows when I am going to hear IIHU. I am so happy to see the single go up the itunes chart.

Same here! I listened to the two top-40 stations in my area all last week and weekend long trying to get in on the meet & greet contests for the Boise show and never ONCE heard them actually play an Adam song. Not even on concert day.

thanks tls62…maybe you read my post in the last thread. When I talked to this one dj he said “Adam Lambert…I love him but never heard the song” (LOL)..Then he said “I’ll ask my boss”. They are all clueless.

What’s really sad is that L.A. isn’t playing IIHY. It took them forever to play WWFM to I’m not that surprised. But, what the frick?

It would fit right in with the KISS line up. I don’t get it. I think Ryan Seacrest supports him, but the DJ’s really don’t seem to have any influence. In the meantime, I’ll keep listening and if I hear it, I’ll post it here.

The pictures do look good. What kind of cameras are being allowed at Adam’s shows? I’ll be seeing him at the Pageant in St. Louis on August 8. The Pageant site says camera policies are up to the individual artist. Some shows say all cameras are allowed, some say only small cameras. I have a 20x zoom Canon point-and-shoot that would never be called small… what are the chances that I can use it? It takes AWESOME concert pictures!

If you can get it in you should be good. Quite a few people have cameras that size.

The photos at the top of the thread of Ori and Alli are really great. I don’t like that pic of Adam though. He looks unhappy or like he is lifting a heavy piece of furniture. lol.

Oh my goodness. Those are the cutest girls I have ever seen! They deserve their own “Loving Adam Lambert” show or something. I’m so glad they got to meet Tommy and Monte. Seriously, if I was their mom, I would fund a few shows for them. They are super cute!

Yeah, I’m sorry you’re not gonna get to NOLA because I was really hoping to get to meet you. I haven’t said anything on MJ’s, but I did go ahead and purchase a single ticket to the concert in NO. I have lots of things to work out so I hope I don’t end up having to let the ticket go. But I didn’t want to take a chance and not get a ticket–figured NO would sell out real fast and not have any left near the concert time. It’s a good ticket–balcony, first level. I’m not usually able to get really close floor seats. And, I really like balcony. Besides, with balcony seats, you can see what’s happening on stage.

Tonight is the Jewish “Valentines Day”, it’s called “Tu BeAv” which means the 15th of the month “Av”- and Jewish months go by the moon, not by the sun- so the 15th is always a full moon…
So it’s an extra special moon for those of Jewish heritage- the celebration of love… I wonder if Adam even knows this, lol…

Our common calendars show July 26 as a Full Moon; but, mr, are you saying the Jewish calendar is different? Cultural stuff befuddles me sometimes. But I love it!

Hey Ceddies-
First of all- I’m quite a few hours ahead of you- so I meant that tonight, which is the 26th for me, will be a full moon, and so yes- it’s the same full moon.
Secondly- yes- the 15th (well it’s the 14th-15h I think) of a Jewish month is always a full moon, because the moon’s cycle is always 28 days- so the 14th-15th are always exactly in the middle, and are full moon days.

Also- once every four years adjustments are made (like adding a whole month to the calender) so that the months don’t move around the seasons (so Av will always be around July-August and not in January suddenly, lol).
But the month always goes with the moon.

mr, saw your post just as I was about to click out of here for the night. I trust that you got it right, but it’s just confusing for me. I’m one of those people who is very suspect of things on a Full Moon. Guess Adam is too. (LOL) It explains away a lot of weird behavior.

Hehe- that doesn’t belong to my certain culture, and also, even in astrology (something Adam surely knows), I’m a cancer, which is a water sign, and they say water signs are greatly influenced by the moon- because the moon really does influence the waves and tides you know (scientifically speaking- not astrology now)- and so they say that water signs also are affected by the changes of the moon… and a full moon is supposed to be pretty powerful, haha- not that I’m too big on astrology- but I never saw the full moon as a bad thing… on the contrary- just very romantic… hehe… interesting the way we look at things differently

I’m back again, mr. I’m not big into astrology either, but I am also a Cancer (June 30). I don’t associate it with bad things, just weird happenings like more babies being born, more fights breaking out and people having to go to ER, people acting frisky (Brooke) and maybe just a little more out-of-character forward. I, personally, find that I am a little different–maybe a little more confident–on the two/three days before and after the Full Moon. So, maybe we’re not that different. Nah, I don’t see monsters and werewolves. Just wishing for a good dream of THE Glittery Alien from Planet Fierce. I’ve only dreamed of Adam a couple of times, and they were just like he was a regular cute guy talking to me on the street where I used to live. My ears are still ringing… so I decided to see if I could put a re-cap together right now.
My friend and I glammed us up a little before we went to the Warfield. I wore the “Glam is the new Black” shirt. We got there around 5 pm and were about 100 ppl back in line. We met some nice ladies from IDF and a couple of teenagers. By the time the door opened, the line was wrapped around the corner and then some. I briefly met madnessinmotion and turquoiswaters, but they had assigned seats so they came later and there was only a few minutes to yap a little. I “twatted” with Marie23 for a while there back and forth, but we never met in person
I teetered the whole night between my “I don’t like crowds” and Adam excitement, it was really a great kinda feeling. But since I was on the cusp and someone else provided a great DH, I didn’t do it and rather fell back to twitter. So I sent twitpics and yfrog twitvids, ya’ll saw some?
There was a railing and we planted us right behind it, my friend infront of me, she is short, I could look right over her head. GREAT VIEW. Unfortunately right by the Left speakers. it was loud! even with earplugs. AND the chipmunk/helium effect took a hold of Adam’s voice again, it was sometimes very funny.
Anyway, Allison – YUP set is WAY toooo short. But she was awesome, really really loved it. THe crowd was getting into it, and the dancing began. When Ori come on in her set, which is a bit longer than Allison’s, but not much, the crowd seemed to get a little bored. I loved has guitar skills. SHe and Monte could duke it out one day. Really great guitar playing, her singing maybe a bit boring, but everybody sang along to “According to you”.
Of course everyone went nuts when Adam made it onto the stage, the background pics were forgotten, but were really cool, when one had the time to glimps at them. What can I say that hadn’t been said already, that he was awesome, wonderful, great and so appreciative of all his fans there. The energy was quite through the roof between Adam and the crowed. And he rewarded us at the end with WLL in that half accoustic half plugged version. There was the LICK in fever -woot woot. Wonderful butt bumping/smaking between Brook and Adam, during the dancer’s intro, nice crotch grabbing. AND A FULL MOON tonight!

on a side note, the venue was non-smoking, but somehow someone was still smoking pot there – weird – one could smell it. The ppl were very diverse, lots of young teens, but also “stayed young” older ppl Even the 60 yr old lady had black nail polish, very cute.

On the West Coast now (Costa Mesa show less than 48 hours away!!!) and couldn’t sleep yet, so looked back through all the set lists. Basically there have been two eras of encores. For the first seven Glam Nation dates (Wilkes-Barre through Columbus), Adam did WLL once (in Toledo), MW six times, and never both.

Then Adam did WLL for six shows in a row (Milwaukee through Foxwoods), and has included it much more often than not since. For the 25 Glam Nation dates starting with Milwaukee through San Fran #2 (not including events like KFEST or Toronto or the two music festivals in Michigan), Adam did WLL (only) 6 times, MW (only) 4 times, and both 15 times. The four unfortunate places that did not hear WLL during this second era of encores were Atlantic City (Borgata), Baltimore (Ram’s Head), Cleveland (Allen Theatre) and Lincoln (Thunder Valley). Interesting that two of those four were casinos. IIRC, the other two had crowd issues, either dead crowds or families with young children up front.

The only other set list change I saw was the dropping of Broken Open. The first eight dates (through Milwaukee) heard BO, and it has not appeared since.

Can’t wait for Tuesday night!

I will continue to argue that it is NOT based on crowd energy. Once again, Toronto was an awesome crowd and really into Adam and they did not get WLL. He should be performing it everywhere so as to not slight some crowds (except where there are children in great numbers).

Ok…went back and took another look at Milwaukee…it is pretty spectacular. Maybe I was wrong about SF being the best…now I am so confused…maybe lambobsessed can do a mash up of all the best pieces of all the WLLs and we can all have a bit of what makes us happiest..Just think, stairs, coffee table, subtle GB brushes, high octane wails…

I think even if children are there, he can do the rockier version. It’s probably more how he feels than crowd response. The other night people were saying he was hoarse, so that could have been a factor. Also, his mother was there, so maybe he wanted an earlier night to go spend some time with her. Toronto wasn’t even supposed to be GNT so after sqeezing it in, he might have not wanted to push it.

Ya’ll our concert threads are hilarious! Where else do you read about the show, the vocals, the lighting, the sound mix, how hot the singer looked,and whether or not the male bassist’s red lip gloss is hot and does it interfere with on stage make out sessions. LOL!

Loved his hair and makeup here too. I like Tommy with the red lip stick. With his elfin, blond prettiness he is a perfect foil to Adam’s dark beauty. The visual impact of this whole troupe, (band, singer, dancers) is really a brilliant concept. I also love the diversity in the group. I can’t wait to see this live in Melbourne!

Note on the WLL issue of ‘best in show(s):

I was at the Portland concert, where he did the first (I think) faster, rock version as a concert closer. I loved, loved it!! I had been waiting for the long slow sexy-slide version, but we were so amped up, as a crowd, and when Monte opened the faster version, it just flowed perfectly and left us all pumped (which, btw, was much needed in order to survive the trip to get back out of that hellishly hot and overcrowded venue).

Suz526 did I thank you for these videos?? They are amazing. Couldn’t watch them before 10AM due to crazy neighbour complaining all the time about the noise…If this is noise…I have no words..

OK, I’ll try my recap again, but maybe a little bit at a time. To start off, my husband and I wore earplugs, and Adam sounded perfect. No helium this time. It also saved the ringing later.

It seems as most venues, there was a mix of teens up to seniors. I noticed more teens on Sunday than Fri. I swear on Friday, some people were so up in years that they could hardly walk. I’m glad to see Adam with fans of all ages. Sun I seemed to talk to more teens, and Friday they were older. The teens were soooooo excited to be seeing Adam. I loved their enthusiasm.

It may be this way with all venues, but The Warfield must have made a mint on drinks. I saw people getting drinks all nite. They even had a cocktail waitress in the seating areas. Of course, lots of people buying merch. I’m glad the scalpers don’t get any portion of Adam’s merch $$$. BTW, every person I talked to said they had to buy their tickets on StubHub, some of them paid even more than I did.

As a reminder, I’m doing the recap in parts because the site crashed twice when I had a long recap typed.

Ok, first, epic concert was indeed epic last night! I was just following it online (and had a bunch of friends there), and OMFG I was dying from the other side of the country!! WLL was BEYOND insane – the way it started acoustic, and LP and Monte switched to electric during the instrumental interlude, and Monte’s delicious guitar riff cuts in just as Adam’s vocals come back and start soaring to that climax. Holy FUCK that was HOT!!! Wow, just wow.

Second, Fever was also ridiculously hot. Re the lipstick, yeah, no – I am firmly in camp – TOMMY IS LOOKING FREAKING GORGEOUS IN THAT LIPSTICK! The only bad side to it, imo, is that I think Adam’s shying away from kissing him “DC/NYC” style because he’d smear it all over his face – which, imo, would also be extremely hot. So, yeah, Adam, I say just go for it

Apparently this SF Chronicle music critic is usually really critical, so in that context, his review of Adam’s show is very favorable.

bmsjcj – it’s such a minor thing – don’t know why it even concerns me, but it does – perhaps it’s just because it’s WLL. Guess can check next performances to see if it continues. (Someday I’ll get a life, but doesn’t look like anytime soon.)

Quick recap before I go ride the cable cars and then head home to MN. The last 3 days were some of the best in my 50 yrs. Adam has such stage presence and magnetism, that the hour he is on stage sends me to a place I rarely go mentally, physically, aurally, and spiritually Next best thing is the camaraderie with his fans. Met cwm, greenhippo, and many others from twitter and blogs, went to TV with madnessinmotion, and had a blast sharing the same passion and fun with like-minded folks. Teens, elders, straight, gay, mostly women but men too. Also, add the energy and craziness of SF, history of the Warfield, heat blast and outdoor venue of TV, and it all is more than I can even explain. If I didn’t have RL, I would totally become a groupie and follow the band everywhere. Now I absolutely get the Deadheads!

St Louis in 2 weeks! Will add whatever shows I can afford time and bucks for! BTW, WLL from both Warfield shows were more vocally crrraaazzzzy than others I recall, so that may be the reason for flailing. Plus, energy of the venue was fantastic.

Recap pt 3

Not many people were standing and dancing in the seating areas. That doesn’t mean they didn’t enjoy the show. The screaming was so loud and long. The teens near us were hysterically saying how much they loved Adam.

Soaked: I had tears in my eyes, his vocals were so amazing. His beautiful tenor voice with the even vibrato could easily fit into an opera.

Sleepwalker: I saw him running from the side stage to the back where he makes his entrance. I was wondering how he managed to sing w/o sounding winded. He did mention that he was out of breath when he finished the song.

Quite interesting. On DDD Forums somebody mentioned that Adam should have another CD – “Adam Live”, that would be probably better than the current one. I agree. I would buy it in a heartbeat.
Wait a minute, don’t I have CD called “WLL Live – 10 versions” in my car already???…

Who the hell gives ya a foil wrap and feeds ya? (Adam’s highlight pictures).. we are hillbilly, I did a million of those (family salons) and I don’t miss it.

No note in Fever sucks, but the rest was great.. if he’d stop talking so damn much during the day.. and going crazy during soundcheck.. the rest of the stuff was great, I just really miss that note.. it adds SO much to that song.

Okay, here’s my guess on this. Sometimes if your mouth gets dry and you open it wide, when you try to go to a normal position your skin catches, or he may have a split lip that he is trying to deal with.

lorenzo – not clear what note (in Fever?) you’re speaking of. Did I miss previous discussion?

That makes sense about skin catching, Planet Fierce, as there’s no indication of anything wrong except that gesture.

Last prt recap and won’t talk too much about the details of Adam’s performances cuz you’ve heard it all.

Adam was really playful and so were Tommy and Monte. Tommy got a lot of screams when he interacted with Adam. Adam did his finger gesture for Tommy to come to him, and another time, Tommy sort of danced across the stage following Adam. Of course everyone screamed (along with their Fever interaction). People also went wild for Monte’s interactions with Adam, but mostly for his solos. You can tell that Monte is loving the response he is getting from the audience. Huge difference playing with a world-wide superstar with an enormous audience (of course I’m talking about Madonna). Monte is more of a “star” in Adam’s band than when he was with Madonna.

Adam’s choreographed dancing as well as his impromptu dancing is getting better and better. His dancing and vocals on youtube do not capture his live performances.

My husband called me a few minutes ago, just raving about Adam. He predicts that Adam will be HUGE, because of his amazing vocals, his overall performance skills (dancing, stage presence) and his ability to be so charismatic and articulate in interviews.

I don’t have to tell you– If you haven’t seen Adam live, you will miss out. I’ve been to hundreds of concerts, and I’ve never enjoyed any of them as much as I’ve enjoyed Adam’s. Seriously. I’m trying to be objective. You get an opera, rock concert, pop concert, musical theater…

ETA: I need to mention Adam’s little giggle throughout the concert. It turns this fierce performer into an adorable, sweet boyish person.

Great recap BestAl.. I always thought the best concerts I have been to were Michael Jackson..Victory tour (5 rows from the front), and the Rolling Stones most recent tour. But Adam tops both of these in a huge way. Can’t wait for my third show in a couple of weeks.

So I’ve been complaining that my local radio station won’t play IIHY. Went to their playlist and noticed it was played at 3:02AM! Whoopee. Now how do I get them to play it at an hour when people (me)are awake? It’s a Citadel station.

I need to mention Adam’s little giggle throughout the concert. It turns this fierce performer into an adorable, sweet boyish person.

Did we decide that Adam has new pants. These seem to be roomier/stretchier in the stride to accommodate his “droppin’ it”, etc. Seems like maybe the fabric is different that before in that area when he was sitting on the table last evening. Can’t get a close enough look to see if they have the same trim (along the side seam about the knee length) to match the trim on the boots. Also, I don’t remember the boots having that little tassle or whatever sticking from the sides as can be seen in WLL. Also, these boots look a little stiff to me. Maybe he just got some new stuff. Have his pants always been this tight below the knee? Maybe he is taking a tiny page from the dancers’ pants. IDK, was just thinking.

suz526….Just got done watching the videos. IMO Absolutely the best sight and sound of all the 30something shows he’s done so far. I felt like I was there again!!

And baebae that Ellen rerun seemed so long ago. He seemed sad and this was during that period of time he felt so awful as he talks about on Oprah Wednesday! But honestly I still like this slower version of WWFM. I liked the American Idol live faster version (day after the mentoring), but for some reason at Glam Nation I wish it was a bit slower.

Me too. I wish I would of just kept my focus on Adam, seeing people leave is sad. I adore every member of his band and, every single one of his dancers. I would hate to see anyone leave before the end of the tour. They have amazing chemistry. With that said, I am sure when new band members are added they will also have good chemistry. That is important to Adam.

I guess the ultimate goal for some musicians is to have a band, and do not always being the person that plays that instrument for x or y singer. We must get used to seeing new members with Adam Lambert.

It makes me sad, too, whenever Adam loses a crew member. I was so upset about Lisa. His band and dancers all seem to gel so well together. However, Adam knows the business better than any of us. This is going to happen with any entertainer, and Adam knows that. I’m sure he “hired” these band members knowing that it may be just a “temporary gig” for them. He will be just fine. I’m sure that other drummers are chopping at the bit to be part of this epic band!

I think this is true. LP tweeted not too long ago asking people to chant ‘drum solo’. I think he wants (or is used to) a more upfront role.

In the name of Science, yeah, that’s right, Science, I have the following results of tonight’s research study:

1) The Pants are new. The knees are tighter, the glitter has been replaced with stones in some places. The style of the leg is different. The, dear lord, Inseam, is made of stretchier fabric. The back pockets are missing. And, sorry to say, saggy butt pants are back!

2) The vest has been re-styled. It now has a center stripe, which may or may not be a zipper. For ease in putting it on and, **ice please** taking it off. The “A” in back has a black sequined border around it.

3) The feather side thingy, is longer, and has more “Peacock” to it. ( I know I’m going straight to hell).

4) The GB was very happy with the show last night, especially with the early part of WLL.

5) The Fever shirt was unbuttoned from top and bottom more.

6) The body roll was missing from Fever, love me some leg stomp, but flove the body roll more.

7) The VOICE was un-fricking-believable last night. The acting in Soaked, the drama, the dancing at the top of the stairs, on fire!!

New Stairs theory. They seem more vertical. In Milwaukee they were angled more horizontally, maybe this is why he doesn’t lay on them anymore.

9) I cannot believe I’m gonna say this. I have to admit, **whimpers to self** , we now have a tie with Milwaukee. I will say tie, only because Suz’s audio is better. Having witnessed the epicness that was Milwaukee, I heard the vocal live. I know Baebs will weigh in with her ranking.

10) I now believe that Adam may actually visit these threads from time to time. He seemed to take advice from us!! I know, I’m certifiable, but I can believe what I want!!!

Hmmm, gloves on/gloves off. It seems that whenever he tapes in the daytime, no gloves. Interview shows, mostly no gloves. Daytime/daylight performances, white gloves at times.
FS-no gloves, many many rings.

The only band member’s leaving that would give me pause is Monte. Never a fan of TJ – pretty little guy – pale and fragile looking in his creepers – but not an exciting foil for Adam IMO. Terrance, with his great body and moves, is to me much sexier. And LP looks great with his bod and dreads, but he’s replaceable. Also, I’m with one or two above who’re not big fans of Fever live. It’s fun, but it’s the one or two (FYE?) that I like better on the CD. The beat is better. I’m with Lorenzo, there’s something missing in the middleish when done live. In conclusion, that TALC vid of SFW is dynamite.

The material he sings is probably on a higher level of difficulty than any contemporary pop/rock singer touring out there now (not to mention being a guy). And he still sounds great. Thanks to adamland, smeggs, and MJ for the wonderful thread where we can comment and view those GREAT videos. I mean, last night’s videos from Suz526 are just consistently wonderful, the audio AND video are so clear, and the performances just ON FIRE. That Sleepwalker was great, Soaked just mesmerizing and WLL vocally supreme. The closest thing to being there!!!

You are right, luval. It could actually be a daytime TV thing that I never noticed before. I suppose it is kind of embarrassing that we analyze notice every tiny detail of his body when he performs. Just loooooooove the guy!!

My friend whom I was going to try out on Adam’s music had recently asked me to tell him when Adam was going to be on tv. I knew of the Ellen and Oprah things but decided to not tell him about them because they are not representative of how Adam is at the moment. I did send him links to some of the concert stuff and the Leno Sleepwalker, but he still has webtv for cable, email, and internet service. I tell him he is just an old hippie and needs to come into the present century. The webtv is so slow that he can’t open up these videos. But, just “no” to watching these two old shows IMO.

lorenzo – yes, the GLAAD Fever has the “right” middle – still miss it, but it’s REALLY high – almost a scream. Might be too tough to do it through this Tour.

I see that LP is going back to his day job, its standard with hired musicians. I think all the members in Alli’s band have their bands to go back to as well – David Immerman, with a possible exception. He’s been roughing it out with Alli since before the release of the album last year. He is in the Jive payroll. But this kinda thing is very common with “pop” stars like Gaga or “insert your favorite pop solo artist.” There are boat loads of great musicians out there waiting for a gig, a break, especially guitarists.

In a rock band, members are involved with the writing of the music, the artwork, merch, stage layout, etc etc., and most of them disband in disagreement and over control issues within years or months, if not less. They write a couple masterpieces and boom, its over, chemistry is gone. A couple bands you might have heard disbanded out of power struggle like Pink Floyd & GnR. They just can’t handle it, especially after being so long on the road. They end up hating each other and wanting to kill themselves. Aerosmith and The Stones are surviving. But then you also have The White Stripes and Nine Inch Nails, that you may think is a band with a name like that, but its all Trent Reznor doing all the writing and development of the band with interchangeable musicians – he hires them to play in his band. I think thats how Adam should approach his career, like Reznor & Kravitz, and fans should be careful not to get attached to the band.

Allison, on the other hand, for her next effort should take a break from soloing, and start a band with Orianthi and tour. If Lebron and Wade can do it, in this age of Entourage -friends get together and have fun- Alli n’ Ori ought to be fun to see and hear. Eat your heart out Plant/Paige or Axl/Slash.

I’m glad I haven’t been too attached to the band. Would feel bad if Monte left, though since he’s the only one I’ve met! I’ve said this many many times. At the 2 times I saw the tour the only person I remember was AFL. Never saw the band, dancers, background. . But I like to read everyone’s facination with them. Love the dancers, would not like it if any of them left. But I guess things just change in peoples’ lives.

So, Baebs, just watched SFW. Love the lunge with glory note. Love the shimmies and amped up dancing , amped up testosterone overall lately in SFW. Very Queen feeling. But, the Ryman, with the fist slam and drop to knees just lays me out.

About Longineau, sorry, he’s awesome, but drummers come and go all the time. He may not be gone forever. Also, this tour just keeps getting longer and longer, people have other obligations. Don’t forget, there’s still Asia and Europe, a new album, and many, many TV appearances. I don’t think we’ve seen the last of LP. Adam likes to keep his friends close.

BTW, does he ever smile? Coincidentally, was watching Leno Sleepwalker the other day, and one of my teens walked in the room, and said about LP “who’s the droopy faced drummer?”

It’s the stretch material inside of the outfit, it holds the top and pants together so he can easily get into both quickly.

I much prefer the FYE and Fever CD versions. Both of those are perfect as they are, any variation I haven’t liked. All the other songs he can rearrange and I’m happy but not those two songs.

I think thats how Adam should approach his career, like Reznor & Kravitz, and fans should be careful not to get attached to the band.

You are right. This just happens to be Adam’s first headlining tour, and his fans are so thrilled with most every aspect of it, including the band. As time goes on and crew members make changes, Adams’s fans will get use to this normal occurrence in the music industry. It is always the most difficult at the beginning, IMHO.

milw, when I posted upthread about the Ellen and Oprah shows, I was just referring to the fact that the shows were older—and when introducing my friend to Adam, I felt that it would be better to introduce him to Adam as he currently is—happily on tour and singing the songs as he currently sings them. Nothing wrong with the Ellen and the Oprah shows. They were great, just not current. Maybe I SHOULD have gone back and watched them with him and pointed out some historical things that he might not have understood. Didn’t mean to be negative about the shows per se. They gave Adam a platform that he needed desperately at the time.

Miss Chaos, nobody ever really dies on a soap opera. Just like that vampire that Tara bludgeoned to death last night on True Blood probably isn’t dead either. Can’t wait to hear Adam talk True Blood some more. Love that he loves the show I watch. It was OTT sick and twisted last night.

BTW, new Rolling Stone out today. Article as predicted about failing tours, a sentence that mentioned there are a few successful tours going on, but, no names mentioned. And, hey Adam, check out the eye candy inside. Big centerfold of your boy Leo.

LP is the only original Yellowcard member left. That band started in ’97, so I imagine LP feels loyalty to them. I’m wondering if LP feels he needed to be showcased more. Monte has some good solos, and Tommy gets a lot of cute interaction with Adam. It’s unfortunate for Adam because LP is a really good drummer.

It’s the stretch material inside of the outfit, it holds the top and pants together so he can easily get into both quickly.

I’m not convinced that’s what it is. I’m trying to picture how it holds the pants to the top when it’s so high up.

Lee and Ceddies, thanks, points taken. The “You Know What’s That Shall Not be Mentioned” should be history. And, yeah, Adam did refer to feeling pretty down in early December on Oprah.

Baebs, I’m with you, there have been glimpses of the band when the shirt has been unbuttoned low before. I think it helps keep the shirt roughly in place. But, who knows? It may serve both functions. Either way, it looked weird when it showed up last night, but probs just to us “researchers” , who else looks that closely?

OK so I just watched Music Again, thanks gferna! Yes the tush slap was cute. But, hello, the spread eagle at stage front at 55 seconds was very interesting! I can’t believe two things 1) that those hands got so close to, um, you know, Happy Land, and 2) that their hands didn’t melt from the heat.

Thanks for posting the GH video of Mad World! I remember people talking about this months ago and feeling badly that I missed it. After all, I pride myself on not missing anything having to do with the glittery one — ha!

Well, I’m gonna take a shallow wade into the pool before I go to bed tonight. Didn’t wanna mention this, but will “come out” as a couple of others have done in the last few minutes. The thing that got me noticing Adam’s new clothes–particularly pants–was in Suz526′s Mad World/WLL posted above at the 4:38 mark where Adam was sitting on the bench. That’s when I noticed the triangular shaped fabric that looks stretchy that I hadn’t noticed on the previous pants. Could have been there, I just didn’t notice it. Ok, there I’ve said it. Getting out of the wading pool now.

I have to throw this out there. What is so hard about putting on a vest that it needed to be attached to the pants? Maybe it was harder when the white sleeves were attached? Maybe that’s why he took out the white stretchy piece that attached them since it’s not necessary now without the sleeves? I mean come on….it would take literally 2 seconds for Sutan or somebody to hold the vest while he slipped his arms in.

Guaranteed…if I was in charge of wardrobe changes, I’d have him in and out in record time. Any mother that’s dressed a squirmy child when the school bus is a block away could handle it. In fact, I could pack him a lunch while dressing him too. lol

Must be the thought of Adam dressing and undressing that’s got my mind in a muddle. I’ll picture someone else doing it. I’ll probably clue in right away then.

Baebs, I give up, maybe the whole outfit is spray painted on, with 3D paint, and special underpants as the foundation for all the manly parts to be comfortable. Then, what we all think is smoke and laser lights, is really a drug fog that causes us to think he is wearing real clothes.

YAY, got home about 3 hrs ago. It took us about 8 hrs from SF today due to traffic around Pasadena – Ugh, and also the fact that I got a ….. speeding ticket….. (double Ugh)
Not a GREAT way to end your first GNT experience.
In any case, I don’t think I have recovered yet, and “have” to go to another GNT concert tomorrow. I wonder how I will survive this. the SF-25 show was just so dang epic and we had wonderful places to stand, where we could see EVERYTHING, but were a bit blasted by those huge speakers. My ears are still slightly ringing 24 hrs later, despite the ear plugs I wore.

Ppl were glammed up, but not as much as I expected yesterday and I didn’t see a single drag queen, which was a bit disappointing. All the ppl around me were so very very very nice, and helpful, when I was ready to bolt due to my claustrophobia. they calmed me back down and I gave them glow sticks for it – . SO our section was the most blue during WWFM.
Adam’s epic-ness was slightly overwhelming for me (and this had nothing to do with his tight pants!), at times. And using twitter actually helped me get balanced. Who would have thought twitter as therapy…. hahahahahaha

The drug fog makes sense, considering all the thinking we do.

Believe it or not, I haven’t really noticed the black “thingy” very much. Could it be that maybe the vest, shirt, etc., whatever may be just hooked together with velcro or something similar and he may be afraid it will come loose and he’ll be exposed above the waistband. I, myself, am a very pale redhead and can assure you that I do not want my tummy to show. PERIOD. Plus I am a few years older now and gravity has started showing up in that area. Only time I didn’t mind was when I was 20 years old and living in Destin, Florida, with a good tan (for a redhead). Even in CTF, didn’t he have a band of sorts extending above his waist? Not sure, but not gonna go back and look.

ETA: Okay, so I went back and looked. He does have that band around his waist there too.

Someday I’ll have to learn to look north again.

Your have to copy the URL and paste at the above website. Two choices – standard or better one (forget name). Pumps away for a time and then asks where should go – I put in itunes.exe. Then have to wait again while connects to iTunes (if that’s where you want it). It’s a waiting game sorta – don’t give up. Then, suddenly, the track starts playing on iTunes. I did the MW/WLL and SFW vids above that way and worked fine – but had to use Standard for some reason.

I’m just converting video to MP3. Still need Trim YT? There are way too many concert videos to download and not enough time to watch them all again. At least with the MP3 music files, I can listen while I work (and chair dance too).

The FS WLL is REALLY great to listen to on the ol’ iPod.

Think this batch of performances/vids (as a group) are my favorite so far. SF#2 – just about halfway through the Tour. Guessing here.

LP’s first commitment is to his band Yellowcard which is getting ready to get rolling again after a break. This gig with Adam was only temporary for LP, like Lisa H and Cam. They all have their own groups. It’s sad but that’s the life of musicians and groups.

Long discussion about LP way up thread. What Adam has is not really a band – but musicians who play for him – with the exception of Monte who’s in a different category. This coming and going is bound to happen. Can’t get too attached to a particular set of people. And this is not unusual – it’s the norm. Happens even in what is thought of as a “band.”

The mysterious name is due to the fact that it will otherwise be pulled off the internet for copyright violations. I don’t know why some songs are pulled and others aren’t but they just are. This moniker hopefully will conceal the song from TPTB.

For those interested, the love brother DH at the top of the thread has a video where he interviews Longineu. Longineu talks about working with Adam and the upcoming album with Yellowcard. It got a little awkward when they were talking about Yellowcard. Now it seems we know why.

Just watched the interview. It appeared to me it was more LP was surprised the guy hit directly on a topic that he probably isn’t in a position to talk about yet. He isn’t as quick on his feet as Adam is, so he came off as uncomfortable or awkward.

After doing a little research on Yellowcard, it’s no surprise he’s leaving. He’s had a vested interest in this group since 1997; he’s not just a hired drummer like he is with Adam. I had no idea they had that much success. Their Ocean Avenue album sold over a million copies in the US alone. They toured for over two years. I hate to see him go, but quite honestly, he’d be foolish not to IMO.

ITA… I only hope that yellowcard keeps the magic. I wish him some good luck. I’m sure Adam knew of the likelihood and timing of Yellowcard’s relaunching. Yes, I remember this too. Although I think they were hired for the original set of TV promo appearances in early December as well (Ellen, Letterman, Conan, etc.)

Thanks revcat, I even did the same thing when I posted my IIHY video from Knoxville on YT–just left the name out and said something about “band interlude with lasers on the ceiling”. I knew most who follow his tour would recognize that as IIHY. But, for some insane reason, STMNBN just didn’t register on my brain. LOL

Longineu’s really good, but not irreplaceable. Actually, would like to see someone with a little more personality – LP’s awfully glum.

But Longineu is a man of great beauty to me and he seems intense. I like intense as seen in Longineu–not the mean kind of intense. His look just SO matches up with Adam, Tommy, and Monte. The three of them together look the epitome of the IIHY video.

And another thing that was posted/alluded to upthread was about maybe he wasn’t getting enough drum solo time; but I, personally, am always aware of his beats throughout all of Adam’s songs and particularly during the dance routine and the band and dancer intro. So, for me, he gets a lot of spotlight time.

But, yeah, no one is irreplaceable. I hate to see him go.

Regarding the discussion of best WLL.

I’ve seen Adam perform WLL 4 times…twice this weekend, at Gridlock and FS. The SF WLLs were vocally stunning…the crowd gave him so much love and you could tell he was giving it back…big time! But IMHO, nothing can top FS WLL. There was something so primal and sensual about that performance. I think it was the closest I will ever get to having Adam make love to me…it was that amazing! I needed a cigarette afterwards and I don’t even smoke!

So, I’m finally home from my incredible weekend spent with Mr. Adam Lambert! I’m not a groupie…really, but I went to 3 concerts in a row this weekend…Friday and Sunday at SF and Thunder Valley on Saturday. Each one was amazing, but 3 totally different experiences.
At the Friday SF show, my husband and I got in line at about 4:30pm…there were about 100 people in front of us. It was great to meet CWM and TURQUOISEWATER…we all got great spots in the center just 4-5 people back…when Adam came to the front of the stage, he seemed so close…I could see every detail of his face! On stage, he does seem bigger than life! It was totally worth being squished and stepped on. A tall kid who got in front of me when Adam came on was really excited, jumping up and down and stepped on my foot a couple of times. Again, all worth it to be that close. The only thing was that I missed a lot of what was going on towards the back and middle of the stage, like the Tommy kiss…I’m short and my 5″ platforms still didn’t help.

SF gave Adam lots of love that night and you can tell he was really feeling it. During WWFM, we brought out the glow sticks…I think about a thousand were passed out. The lady I met next to me took video and told me Adam cried at one point during the song. Up on the loge, some fans brought big cards spelling out ADAM. The love we showed him must have been pretty overwhelming. Way to go SF!!!

Speaking of CREEPERS. I also checked out the Tommy interview on that site. It was nothing but a few seconds of him signing, him leaving and then a lot of running with no sound. Hardly an interview but those two guys did their level best to share their experience and I deeply appreciate it.

First of all, I have been wanting to post since Sunday night. Finally, I have a window of 15 minutes. Let’s see what I can ramble here:

I went to all 3 shows. On Friday night, I went with my sister to Warfield. We had mid aisle seats in F4 in the lower balcony. We could see the entire stage. As soon as FYE music started, and the second Adam picture was shown, people at the first row of the lower lodge all just jumped up, and then practically everybody else followed instantly. It was like watching a tidal wave. Everybody started to sing along, or dance along, totally in a party mood. They did not really sit down at all throughout the show. There were blue glow rings everywhere. I was totally overwhelmed by the joy and felt so connected with Adam and everyone there. I do not have words to describe how fantastic the feeling was! During IIHY, I absolutely felt that I was partying in the woods with Adam and his friends!

I went to Thunder Valley by myself, but was lucky to hook up with Madness, who was so kind to save me a seat. I was thrilled to chat with an Adam expert; her credential is impeccable. I did not know that I would love the outdoor setting, but I did. my seat was closer to the stage than the day before. I just “fixated” my eyes on Adam and was very happy throughout.

I went with my whole family on Sunday to Warfield. We got excellent seats this time. I was expecting the same crowd reaction and was prepared to spring up when FYE was played. But no, the front rows in the lower lodge remained seated and only 1/5 of the rest of the people to the sides stood up! I could not just rise up like that, with my kids and husband right next to me. I marveled at the two ladies a few seats from me, as the only person standing in their respective rows, kept singing, dancing and pointing. If I was with my sister, I would have been more bold. See, I wanted to go to another Adam concert with my family in the future, couldn’t freak them out yet…. (but I sort of changed my mind about that later…) Anyways, I felt really bad. But thank goodness, the screams were loud and long. I screamed so hard to make up for not standing up and showing my appreciation that way. And, Adam seemed to be fine with it, and was in a good mood. What a trooper. And as everybody knew by now, we got both MW and WLL.

I do not think Adam would do or not do WLL based on crowd response. I think it had to do with how he felt physically. He has such positive energy that he would not want to “not reward” his fans.

Bottomline, I am glad that I went to all three shows. If there was a fourth one as closed by, I would go in a heart beat. Yes, and again pay the scalpers 3 to 4 times the face value of the tickets if I had to.

Sorry that this is so long. But I am convinced that if I did not post this, I would regret it when we move on to a new thread. Plus, since I do not post often, I may have some unused quota?

And also, my kid and my sister pointed out to me that Adam was not wearing any shoes. Both times, I acted a little surprised, and nodded, and went: “Oh, yea, that’s so cuUute!”

We got home from the Friday concert at 2am, then on Saturday morning, my two girls, my husband and I drove 2 hours to Thunder Valley. The resort there is really nice and the rooms are spacious and luxurious. The brand new venue was outside…a little worried about that since it was a bout 100 degrees out during the day, but it cooled down to comfortable by the time the concert started.

We got to the venue right at 8:30 cuz we had reserved seats. It was so great not having to stand in line in a hundred degree weather to try to get good seats. The seats were great (Thanks, Cher!)…5th row aisle on the Tommy side of the stage. I could sit thru the whole show (which I didn’t) and still see the whole stage. The crowd seemed so different from SF. It seemed like the fans there older and there were more couples. There were lots of people in the reserved section that stayed seated during the whole show. It was an enthusiast crowd, but the energy level was not even close to the SF shows, at least in the reserved section.

Adam was so handsome and seemed to have more glitter on that night.
He was awesome as usual, only very tame (G-rated). I noticed his mother was 3rd row center…don’t know if that had anything to do with it.
So my husband and I had stood and danced for most of the concert…the people in front of us and around us…not so much. Most of the energy was coming from behind us in Sec 4 GA (these were the people that braved the heat the longest in those lines).
So during IIHY, my husband and I were really having fun…he was hugging on to me dancing and everytime Adam sang the words If I Had You, we both pointed to him holding our right hands together. It might have been my imagination, but I think Adam looked our way a couple of times and smiled at us. Towards the end of the song, I didn’t even look at the stage…I turned and started singing and started pointing to my husband…If I Had You…and at the end of the song I gave him a big kiss. My husband is not a big Adam Lambert fan, but he knows how happy Adam and his music makes me so he stood and danced with me at Gridlock, FS, SF and Thunder Valley…”If I had you, life would be a party, I’d be ecstasy!” With my husband dancing next to me once again, those lyrics couldn’t have been more perfect!

Thanks revcat, I even did the same thing when I posted my IIHY video from Knoxville on YT–just left the name out and said something about “band interlude with lasers on the ceiling”. I knew most who follow his tour would recognize that as IIHY. But, for some insane reason, STMNBN just didn’t register on my brain. LOL

Well, revcat, I decided to quote this weird comment again and make a correction. The title I used as cover was “Band and Dancer Intro”. The one about lasers on the ceiling was SFW. Just wanted to straighten that out.

Oh my God, this is pretty funny. Right before I left for work this morning, I saw TLKC’s post about wanting to see J’s make-up done by the drag queen. It occurred to me shortly after I arrived at work that I could point to the recorded ustream from the party itself but I’ve been in a meeting all day. So now at the first opportunity I’ve had all day, I come back here to help TLKC find the ustream and discover that AL Lurker has already taken care of it for me. With all of the relevant details! Yikes, I’m not sure what to think of this! haha

Yeah, I think you’re right. I got a message from his mom that J had what she thinks “will live on in his memory as one of the best times of his life.” I’m so honored to have been able to provide that opportunity for him. I’m looking forward to sitting down with her later this week and sharing the stories. She’s an Adam fan herself but wasn’t able to get to the concert.

Me too, Patience622 and thank you for your recap. I had GA tix to the Sunday show so my experience was a little different from yours.

So for the Sunday show, I took my sister, my 11 and 14 year old girls, their girlfriend and my niece. My sister is not a fan and gives me a hard time about my all my fangirling. Hahaha, she’s the one that thinks I need intervention and calls my husband an enabler for going to Adam Lambert concerts with me. My neice became a casual fan when my sister and I brought her to see Leno (the day Adam was on) for her bday…she loves Leno. I gave her the FYE CD as a bday gift and she really liked it. My daughters and their girlfriend aren’t fans either, but they love Allison so they were over the moon when she was added as an opener.

This concert I really enjoyed even though we were futher from the stage than the other 2 concerts. We got a great spot on the third tier of the floor right behind the guys who control the fog, lights and sound. We had an awesome view of the stage…I was really happy that my 11 year old could see everything. The people behind us were really respectful and didn’t push at all. The 1st and 2nd tier on the floor on the other hand, was just so crowded…they were really packed in so I was glad to be further back. I was so thrilled that the kids really enjoyed the show. An older guy at the controls was really nice to my girls and gave them Allison and Tommy guitar picks. Talk about shrieks of joy!

I didn’t think it was possible, but it seemed like there was even more energy and love (at least on the floor) for Adam than on Friday. I think the wonderful videos say it all…he just keeps topping himself…another stunning performance. I know, I’m not the most objective person when it comes to Adam (to me, he’s just about perfect in everyway), but my girls who are not fans really enjoyed the show. The two 14 year olds were dancing a little and singing along to some of the songs. Even my sister admitted that Adam was a really good singer and she was really suprised at Adam’s dancing…she thought he was really good. And that WLL, epic…2nd only to my beloved FS WLL.

OMG! I LEAVE FOR THE RESTAURANT TO MEET ADAMLAND AND OTHERS IN LESS THAN AN HOUR. I COULD BARELY EAT ANY LUNCH AND WORKING IS HOPELESS. THANK YOU TO ANOTHER POSTER HERE, I HAVE EXCELLENT TICKETS IN THE PIT/CIRCLE AREA. THANK YOU SO MUCH, YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE. ADAM FANS ARE THE BEST! WE HAVE A GOOD ROLE MODEL!

Now, on to business. Listening to Adam on Seacrest’s show was fun. However, his voice sounded a little rough. That being said, I simply cannot believe what I heard:

In response to Ryan seeing a piece of blue glitter under Adam’s eye, Adam stated “it’s everywhere, EVERYWHERE.” I do believe that my official job as Glitter Researcher has been completed by none other than our BB himself.

Adam sleeps in a Queen size bed on the bus, do I even need to cover the double and triple meanings here?

And, most importantly, Adam said that in preparation for his new album, he is “Conducting Field Research.” **Heart swelling with pride*** Oh my goodness, he’s one of us!! He’s been on our team of crackpot researchers all along. We always knew he was smart, but who knew he was a researcher?

Days before the concerts, my husband actually told my sister that now was the time to go see Adam Lambert because he was going to be such a star that we would only see him in arenas in the future. At another time he told me that all Adam needed was one good hit song, and he would be huge like Elvis. This coming from my husband? I could not believe my ears. BTW, he loves Adam’s “Is Anybody Listening.”

My sister, who’s not a serious fan, afterward commented that Adam actually was still young, and he would go very far, because he’s doing so much with so little. She said he totally knew how to work his audience.

And you know how thrilled I was to hear these words from my family! So they know why I am OTT all the time.
