Adam Lambert to be included on ‘NOW That’s What I Call Club Hits, Vol. 2? compilation album

    http://adamlamberttv.blogspot.com/2010/09/adam-lambert-to-be-included-on-now.html

That’s definitely not the version they were playing at Oz in New Orleans. I don’t know whose version they played though. The one shown here seems to slow to me for a club song (at least to my liking). It’s nice, just not fast enough for me at a club.

GUYS! I just have to tell you about my soprano friend. I have been talking to her about Adam for months and she has been listening to his music (especially Soaked, Sleepwalker, Aftermath.) Today, she told me, in a really embarrassed voice, that she finds him very inspiring. She said: I know it sounds cliche and stupid but…” Well I was the last one she had to be embarrased with but I pretended to be cool.

She has seen a few interviews but she’s intimidated by the multitude of choices on YouTube so she asked me to recommend some. I really like the one-hour interview he did answering the twitter questions from the DonorsChoose.org contest winners.

Has anyone got some particular favourites they can recommend?

“E! News is returning to an hourlong format Oct. 25, with E! canceling 7:30 p.m. companion show “Daily 10.”

Wow, my jaw dropped when I read this.

No offense to Ron (well maybe a bit :D ) but I hope a lot of us easterners can make it considering it’s the last show. As I say that, it’s thundering and storming out. Hope the power doesn’t go out.

I saw that ms0712. They’re discussing it in the Daily 10 thread.

I wonder why so many of us consider this the last show. Wouldn’t Hawaii be the last US show? He has Asia in between, but, then Hawaii.
It’s a whole month in between. And, crossing fingers toes and eyeballs, maybe he’ll do the extended and changed up show in Hawaii.

Speaking of which, how do I tell my family of my plans? They, for sure will have me in a padded cell, not an airplane.

TLKC…Love the Jay Leno interview. Of course MyBliss that I mentioned last night. (don’t like any of the Ellen interviews). For a few laughs she could watch the JLC interview. Not Adam but the Isabele story from FS and then Adam meeting her makes me tear up. If course his mentoring on American Idol. Hope this gives you some ideas.

Hope Ron feels like joining us tonight. Being a West Coast show does not bode well for his making an appearance here though.

I talked to Ron yesterday and he’s going to try but the show is a late starter.

Thanks TLKC, I thought about emailing him, but I figured it would just be something else for him to have to do. He’ll see my post probably “IF” he happens to get here later. I really do like him a lot..as I do other posters on here, but he and dhunken are special to me.

Ron is a sweet gentle guy. And I love Dhunken, too. He’s spent the better part of this weekend debating valiantly on another MJ thread. I hope he’s not too tired to join us tonight.

    HI :)

    Bittersweet night.

I might be alone in this but, I am really REALLY going to miss Allison! :(

  • TLKC

LUVAL: I love the Jay Leno interview. The MYBliss interview was great (hadn’t seen it before last night.) What about Oprah? I’ve got it saved on my PVR – I’ll have to look at it again.

Don’t shoot me – I’m tired – what is the JLC interview?

    new thread up

  • baebae

Mils, I think they’re considering Hawaii part of the Int’l tour.

Shoot, really? Go there at your peril. I left right after I heard about the cancellation of the show. Now I’m curious. Just going to look. Be right back.

Okay, this may be as good a place as any for me to give my comments about Tunica/New Orleans–while we’re waiting for the last continental concert. It’s not actually a review, I guess, just parts of my story (is that a review?).

Part 1 — My story starts with my inviting my mom’s 89 year old sister to stay with us from Sept 2-14 so her caregiver, her son, could go to Germany and get a rest. I didn’t know she had suddenly become much more needy than my mom. So, I’ll just say I was worn out before I ever tried to pack and get to my two most recent concerts. When I get very tired, I can’t make decisions, and I cry easily.

My friend Mary and I headed up to Tunica on Saturday morning. We checked into our hotel and went over to Sam’s Town to meet up with Bridgette12. Then we went over to meet with the fairywings group for a preconcert dinner party at Toby Keith’s Bar & Grill at Harrah’s. They’re mostly from AO, I guess, but not all were from there. We met AdamisGodXXX’s daughter while her mom was at the M&G. We played the slots a little. Then I made sure Bridgette12 and Mary had their tickets just in case something happened while I went back to the hotel to get dressed (I had no clue what was about to happen). My brain was functioning well enough at that point, but soon lost its ability. It was 3 minutes back to the hotel, but I drove around for over an hour. I got lost in a little piece of real estate that has only about 8 streets/highways. I could see the casinos but could not figure how to get to them. I have been there before–quite a few times. I never get lost even when I hit the road for Orlando or D.C. The more I drove, the more I cried and panicked. All this preparation for Adam and now I’m gonna miss him. Ticket said Adam Lambert at 9 o’clock. I was on the phone with Bridgette12 and with Mary–they were trying to get me back to Harrah’s. I stopped several times for directions, and they didn’t help me. Finally made it back at about 10 minutes after 9 p.m.(in my same clothes). Thank God, Allison was there and was on the stage. It gave me time to calm myself. I was never so glad to see anyone as I was Bridgette12 and Mary—oh, and Adam. Mary and I both just loved Bridgette and took pictures before she departed Harrah’s.

The concert was just great as you’ve already heard from others. I screamed a lot for Adam—something I don’t normally do at concerts. He’s just a force that calls for screaming. I think Bridgette and I hardly sat down during the whole concert. Mary has health issues so she sat quite a bit.

I had not planned to tell all this, but it’s here in black and white. There was something therapeutic in putting this in print, so here it is.

I’ll do Part 2 New Orleans a little later.

You have to wonder about those attendance stats for Tabernacle. Kradamour & I were there, and our balcony was full–the main floor looked like sardines–couldn’t see up into the second balcony, but it sounded full. Noskerdycat was up there, so she could say, but she doesn’t usually check mj’s.

ceddies, I would have been terrified of missing the concert!!!!! You persevered and it worked out – good for you! and thank you for sharing your story…I left Norfolk the morning of the first Atlanta show and was nervous all the way – it is 600 miles and I left later than I wanted to – haven’t driven to Atlanta for years! and there was a terrible accident on the highway and we were stopped for a while…and I was starving and wondering if there would be time to eat before the concert! plus I had froggie’s ticket with me…but things have a way of working out for Adam concerts! and all was well. So glad that your story has a happy ending and that you loved the show! Sounds like you earned it! :)
