X Factor UK Season 9: Week 3 Results

Who is in trouble tonight?
Hmm, after Melanie Masson’s surprising elimination last week, nothing would shock me tonight.

Gary Barlow lost 2 Overs in the past two weeks and to be completely honest, I wouldn’t mind if he lost another one tonight. Or both (I’m still not sure if it’s single or double elimination night.). Chris Maloney has decent pipes, but he is also cheesy and dated. Kye Sones is less reliable when it comes to vocals, but a bit more current. Neither had a great night last night. But, some historically reliable tabloid sources are reporting that Chris Maloney topped the votes in the past two weeks. Yikes.

Jade Ellis was very forgettable last night, too. Rylan Clark sucked and wasn’t entertaining at all. I think both boybands are safe tonight and MK1 are probably the weakest link of the groups category.

X Factor UK season 5 runner-ups JLS are performing their new single “Hottest Girl In The World” and Syco’s rapper/singer/producer Labrinth will perform “Beneath Your Beautiful” with Emeli Sandé.

According to TV Guide, tonight’s show airs at 8:00pm BST (3:00pm EDT, 12:00pm PDT) on ITV1 (60min). The Xtra Factor airs at 9:00pm BST (60min) on ITV2.

A recap of last night’s events.

Syco’s rapper/singer/producer Labrinth and British national treasure in waiting Emeli Sandé perform “Beneath Your Beautiful”. Syco signed Labrinth after a bidding war. He produced hits for rapper Tinie Tempah. Emeli Sandé is the singer that hogged the Olympics opening and closing ceremonies. Oh, and Labrinth is performing on the X Factor only because Simon Cowell forced him. Poor guy.

X Factor UK season 5 runner-ups JLS are performing next. Yeah, before One Direction, JLS were the it X Factor boyband. Their new single is “Hottest Girl In The World”. Boys returned to their urban roots after two albums of dance pop. They are releasing their 4th album this fall. Yep, they churn out an album every year.
