X Factor UK S13E24 – Week 6 – The Results

TOP 7 becomes TOP 6 tonight.

How to watch X Factor UK from outside the UK?

You can watch X Factor live, online. ITV streams the show through the ITV Player. However, ITV blocks viewers from outside of the UK. To get around that, you need to use VPN connection. If Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox is your preferred browser, install Hola extension and set them to UK server. Then open the ITV Player, make a free account and pick the right channel. The player will ask you for a ZIP code. Find an active UK ZIP code HERE. Make sure you have the cookies enabled. You can also try to find a working ITV stream on MyiPlayer.com, TVPC.com or FilmON.com.

The X Factor airs tonight at 8:00pm BST (9:00pm CEST, 3:00pm EDT, 12:00pm PDT) on ITV 1 (60min).

Watching the intro, Emily Middlemas and Sam Lavery are singled out as the worst two performers last night. I’m certain Emily was the worst of the night. Just go watch the performance on YouTube.

We start with judges at their table and Dermot introducing a performance from our TOP 7. They are singing “Rise Up” by Andra Day. It’s Remembrance Sunday in the UK, so I guess that’s why they are doing a ballad in all white attire.

Dermot says there are only 3% of votes between the bottom 3. Time for a recap of last night’s performances.

Next, Nathan Sykes of The Wanted fame released his debut solo album on Friday and is now performing a song “Famous” from that album on the X Factor. I’m sure he got this performance slot because he is managed by Global, which owns Capital FM, UK’s biggest commercial pop station and Heart FM, UK’s biggest HAC station. So Simon gives a performance slot to a Global artist and Global makes sure X Factor’s alums get played on their stations. Looking at Global’s website, there are only 2 acts managed by Global: Nathan Sykes and X Factor UK S12 winner Louisa Johnson. So I guess X Factor and Global are really in bed together?

The voting is now over! Dermot goes backstage to chat with the contestants. He says the TOP 2 acts this week are at the top for the first time this season, so it’s an open race.

We are back from the break and it’s time for the results. The judges join their acts on stage.

Time for a performance from Olly Murs. He released his new album “24HRS” on Friday and after one day of sales he is ahead of Emeli Sande’s album. He is performing his new single “Grow Up”. at the end, a Dermot’s mini me interviews him with the real Dermot watching.

More results after the break.

Deadlock!
