120 acts or so made it to this season’s BOOTCAMP. They will have to face the wall of songs. The producers approved 50 songs for the Bootcamp round. Those song choices were printed on small pieces of paper and posted on the wall – each song is repeated three times. The contestants will have to race to the wall, quickly pick their song and team up with one or two acts that also picked the same song to rehearse and perform for the judges.

The location of this year’s Bootcamp is the Alexandra Palace. 121 acts advanced to this round. The contestants will fight to make it to the 6 Chair challenge. Judges say it’s all about song choice. Simon explains the wall of songs.

The mass of people running towards the wall … massive. Dermot sings some less known songs to the contestants that have trouble picking their song.

No Getaway, Christopher Peyton, and Caitlyn Vanbeck — Avicii’s Wake Me Up
Caitlyn wasn’t sure about the song choice, but I think she did fine – I think all three acts sang well. Simon loves the girl (Caitlyn) and also compliments Christopher.

Ottavio and Bradley, Relley C, and Jack Booth – Miley Cyrus’ We Can’t Stop
Remember Relley C from a few years back? She made it to judges’ houses in the girls category. Ottavio and Bradley SUCK. But since they are here for the ratings, they get through.

Antonia Mirat – Aretha Franklin’s Respect
Simon thinks he is going mad. She gets through.

Sada Vidoo – Wilson Phillips’ Hold On

Honey G – TLC’s Creep

Beck Martin – Indeep’s Last Night The DJ Saved My Life
Didn’t learn the lyrics.

Eddie Lee, Jamuna Gibbs – Rick Astley’s Never Gonna Give You Up – CUT

Matt Terry, Tom and Laura, and Aeron Smith – Charlie Puth’s See You Again
Laura sings the lead, even though Tom was supposed to be the main vocalist in the duo. Aerom sounds terrible, Matt is good.

Ian Berry gets cut after forgetting the lyrics to Justin Bieber’s “Love Yourself”.

Gifty Agyeman, Anelisa Lamola, and Chanal Benjilali – Fifth Harmony’s Work From Home
They have a choreography with chairs. Gifty owns it. It’s the wrong song choice for Anelisa. The whole performance is a mess.

5AM – David Guetta feat. Usher’s Without You

Janet Grogan – DNCE’s Cake By The Ocean

Niall Sexton – Coldplay’s Fix You

Samantha Lavery – Jessie J’s Flashlight

Sacha Taylor, James Craise and Christian Burrows – Lukas Graham’s 7 Years

Kayleigh Marie Morgan, Skarl3t, and Tinuke – Marvin Gaye’s Ain’t No Mountain High Enough
Girlband Scarl3t aren’t happy with their part of the song and are causing trouble to the two solo singers. The judges think the girlband did the best, but they put all three acts through.

Freddy Parker, Ryan Lawrie and Melissa Pedro – One Direction’s Little Things

Faye Horne – Jocelyn Brown’s Someone Else’s Guy

Mike Hough, Ivy Grace Paredes and Lascel Wood – Mariah Carey’s One Sweet Day

Saara Aalto – Donna Summer’s On The Radio

Samantha Atkinson, Rebekah Ryan, and James Wilson – Dusty Springfield’s I Only Want To Be With You
Dyslexic James Wilson struggles with the lyrics in rehearsal, he disappears half an hour before the performance. The ladies resign to performing as a duo when he finally shows up. Samantha cries on stage and James admits to letting them down. He ends up being the highlight of the performance.

Pretty much everyone was ordered to come back tomorrow. The judges will cut some people overnight before the 6 Chair Challenge.

We moved to Wembley Arena. We see the judges argue while they narrow down the field.

All acts are divided into 4 groups. 2 will get through, 2 will be going home. Rooms A and D are through, B and C are going home.

TPTB reveal the mentors of the 4 categories.

Simon Cowell – GIRLS
Louis Walsh – GROUPS
Nicole Scherzinger – BOYS
Sharon Osbourne – OVERS

NEXT WEEKEND – The 6 Chair Challenge!
