This week we are getting two one hour audition episodes. Usually the Saturday episode is at least 90 minutes long, but not today.

We are heading to Ireland today and Louis travels on a green double decker bus with his face on it. The X here is GREEN. The last the X Factor was here, it was 6 years ago, when Niall Horan was found.

Jordan Devine (19) He is a potato farmer. He sings Robbie Williams’s “Candy” and sounds funny. Louis says he has “Irish charm”.

John Brennan (31) – Another terrible audition. Irish talent seems questionable.

Peter Richard – Car salesman and Bono look-alike. He sings “Beautiful Day”. Is a NO.

Paul McGuinnes (27, Ireland) – He is a nurse by profession and a big fan of Louis Walsh. He says he likes his job, but he wants to be a popstar. He has previously performed as part of a Les Misérables cast. He sings Michael Jackson’s »Earth Song« for the judges. He sings with his eyes closed and sounds horrible. He is singing through his nose. It’s a NO from the judges.

Simon is regretting coming to Ireland and Louis looks close to tears. After the commercial break the judges celebrate Nicole’s birthday.

Niall Sexton (22, Londonderry) – He is a barman from Northern Ireland. He lives with his mother and his brothers. He performs Sarah Bareilles’ »Gravity«. Simon says he has a beautiful voice. Nicole says she felt every word. Sharon says he needs a little work. 4 YESes.

Conor McGinty (21, Derry) – He is a Boots photographic assistant from Northern Ireland. He brought his parents and his girlfriend to his audition. He performs »Say Something« by A Great Big World. The judges love Conor’s version of the song. 4 YESes.

Janet Grogan (28, Dublin) – She lives at home with her parents and works as a lifeguard. She has been on the show before. She got to Simon’s 6 Chair Challenge in 2014. He swapped her out right after the last performance. Following the show airing, Simon tweeted: “I should have kept Janet. My mistake.” So now Simon has a chance to fix his mistake – well, at least at this stage of the competiion because as we already know, Simon won’t be mentoring the overs this year. Janet sings Zayn Malik’s »Pillowtalk«. She has a great voice. She gets glowing comments from the judges and 4 YESes.

London.

Ottavio Columbro and Bradley Hunt (24 and 23, Southampton) – The flamboyant duo originally planned to audition together, but had an argument about uncooked chicken before their performance. Fashion PR student Ottavio sings for the judges and he can sing, but the judges think he would be better in a group. Restaurant manager Bradley is called to the audition room to explain to Simon all about that uncooked chicken. Then he performs R. Kelly’s » Ignition«. The judges want the duo to get back together and audition as a group. Can the two divas make up?
The duo leaves to to prepare and the judges audition some questionable groups. The sing »Buttons« by The Pussycat Dolls. They seem perfect to be this year’s flamboyant joke act. Simon says they are worse together than separate. But the other three judges disagreee. 3 YESes.

Simon gets a visit from son Eric.

Kayleigh Marie Morgan (19, Clydach) – She is a student and waitress from Wales. She recently had some confidence issues. We find out she was raised by her mother and step father. She sings »With You« by Ghost. She can sing, but this is really old fashioned. 4 YESes.
