X Factor UK Headlines for 12/10/11

Amelia Lily “stitched up”? Simon is backing Little Mix? Misha B too black to win the X Factor? Louis Walsh admits to £30,000 hair transplant.

‘Stitched up’: Amelia Lily is left furious as she blames Kelly for abandoning her ahead of the X Factor Final
She was sent home after her first performance and it was made plain to all that she wasn’t her mentor’s favourite act.

So it’s no wonder that Amelia Lily feels ‘stitched up’ by Kelly Rowland in the run-up to the X Factor final.

The 17-year-old reportedly ‘flipped out’ during rehearsals at Wembley Arena when she saw the care and attention lavished on her rivals by Tulisa and Gary.

X Factor final: ‘Stitched up’ Amelia Lily flips out at mentor Kelly Rowland
Amelia Lily suffered a last-minute meltdown ahead of the final – as show insiders say she has been “stitched up” by Kelly Rowland.

The singer “flipped out” during rehearsals at Wembley Arena because her rivals’ acts had been given more lavish sets and were being showered with attention from their mentors.

A friend of Amelia said: “She feels like she’s been left on her own to win this. She’s not getting any help.”

Amelia, 17, changed one of her songs late on Thursday before taking to the stage yesterday only to realise that her song hasn’t been given any of the big production and gimmicks of her two rivals.

X FACTOR wannabe Amelia Lily has been dealt a blow after rivals were handed extravagant props while she was given NOTHING.

Tonight’s live show will see Marcus Collins performing on a JUMBO JET, while Little Mix will roar into Wembley Arena on HARLEY-DAVIDSON motorbikes.

But Amelia will sing with just a group of backing dancers.

‘They could be bigger than the Spice Girls’: X Factor finalists Little Mix backed by Simon Cowell as the next big girl group
They’ve wowed the judges and audiences and viewers alike with their staying power and have become one of this year’s most talked about X Factor finalists.

And even if they don’t walk away with the coveted crown on Sunday’s final show, Little Mix are still set to take the charts by storm, thanks to Simon Cowell.

Reports today have suggested that the music mogul is to give the four girls a record contract worth millions in an attempt to make them stars on both sides of the Atlantic.

Little minxes: No matter who comes out on top tomorrow night, girl band Little Mix are the real winners of this year’s X Factor
Three months ago, the four girls in Little Mix had no idea each other existed. But thanks to X Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos’s canny intuition, Perrie Edwards, Jade Thirlwall, Leigh-Anne Pinnock andJesy Nelson became the show’s surprise package.

In what has surely been the best call of the series, she plucked them from the hundreds of tearful also-rans at the auditions stage to turn them into the competition’s best girl group ever, and they haven’t looked back since.

They’ve barely had time to draw breath either. So much so that there are days they have struggled to cope. Today, Perrie is ‘sick as a dog’ with a cold, while her bandmates Jade and Leigh-Anne are exhausted. In fact, only the irrepressible Jesy – yes, that’s right, the one who was horribly bullied on Twitter for her weight – is firing on all cylinders.

Was Misha Bryan too black to win The X Factor?
Since her exit from the semi-finals of The X Factor last weekend, contestant Misha Bryan has tried her best to appear sanguine. ‘That chapter of my life is now closed,’ she declared earlier this week. ‘Forgiving is the thing I have done. You shouldn’t get bitter, you should just get better.’

Strong sentiments — but what on earth, you may think, is there to forgive? After all, despite exiting the competition earlier than she’d hoped, it’s clear the 19-year-old has a bright future.

Already, there are rumours she may record a duet with international rap star Missy Elliott, as well as talk that a prestigious record deal is already in the bag. Not bad for a girl who until last year was performing at community centres in some of Manchester’s less salubrious districts.

Then again, there is another part of the ‘chapter’ Misha wishes to close that sits unhappily with such a success story.

‘It’s maintenance!’ Louis Walsh admits to £30,000 hair transplant to keep up with younger co-stars
He has dyed it, styled it and cut it – but as time marched on, there was no way of covering up the thinning spot on X Factor judge Louis Walsh’s head.

And in a bid to turn back the years, the 59-year-old music manager has had a hair transplant, he revealed yesterday.

Mr Walsh is so happy with the results of the treatment that he has even passed on the number of the clinic to his fellow X Factor judge Gary Barlow, who has been sporting a highly prominent bald spot on the ITV talent show.
