Noel Gallagher: ‘X Factor groups are f**king appalling’
Noel Gallagher has described this year’s X Factor bands as “f**king appalling”.

The former Oasis star said that the groups – who will be mentored by N-Dubz singer Tulisa Contostavlos – are the worst category of the series.

Gallagher told Digital Spy: “I watched this series for the first time this weekend. I’m usually quite good at picking who is going to go through, and I think I managed to pick them all correctly this time.

“The groups are f**king appalling; they really are f**king dreadful!”

The singer-songwriter continued: “The over 50s or 25s category are f**king sh**te too. It’s only a TV show, though, and the whole thing is more like a soap opera with all their back stories and that carry-on.

“The live shows are when it’s at its best and it’s great Saturday night TV, especially when you’ve got an 11-year-old daughter. That show is her life!”

X Factor may be too tough on youngsters admits judge Gary
The X Factor is at the centre of a cruelty scandal after show judge Gary Barlow admitted the youngest contestants are too fragile to cope with rejection.

Barlow and his Take That bandmate Robbie Williams expressed their concerns as teenage hopefuls such as Luke Lucas were left distraught after being axed from the competition.

It comes just weeks after producers were accused of bullying vulnerable Ceri Rees, 54, by allowing her to go through the audition process four times in six years, only to be rejected by the judges each time.
