One Direction Announces ‘Where We Are’ Book
Three days before One Direction’s debut 3D feature film, “This Is Us,” hit theaters on Aug. 30, the best-selling boy band will release a new book that also captures its ascent to stardom. “One Direction: Where We Are” will be released through HarperCollins on Aug. 27, it was announced on Wednesday (May 22).

“This is the only official book from 1D charting their journey over the last year and a half — from the places they’ve visited and fans they’ve met, to their thoughts and feelings, hopes and dreams, highs and lows,” reads the official book description. “Where We Are” — which is subtitled “Our Band, Our Story: 100% Official” — is 240 pages long and will retail for $21.99.

One Direction have a Real-ly nice day out in Madrid
ONE Direction are not usually best known for their football skills.

But that didn’t stop stars Niall Horan, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson heading out to the training ground of Spanish team Real Madrid to catch up with the superstar footballers.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Sergio Ramos were among the players there, and later tweeted snaps of themselves with the boys.

They might have just announced their 2014 world tour, but the One Direction boys are still very much in the midst of this year’s Take Me Home Tour.

And the fivesome – who announced news that they were set to embark on their very first world stadium tour next year last week – were greeted with hoards of female fans once again as they headed over to the Italian City of Verona ahead of their performance tonight, which will see them perform in their oldest venue yet.

Thousands of fans queued up outside the historic venue waiting to catch a glimpse of their favourite member, as they took part in rehearsals inside.

‘Overjoyed’ Rochelle and Marvin Humes welcome daughter Alaia-Mai into the world
Rochelle Humes has given birth to her fist child with husband Marvin, a daughter called Alaia-Mai.

The former JLS singer announced the happy news on Twitter on Monday morning, writing: ‘This morning we welcomed our baby girl Alaia-Mai Humes.

‘Mum is doing great & baby is amazing! We are both overjoyed! Thanks for your love X.’

Daddy’s Girl! Proud new father Marvin Humes shares first picture of baby Alaia-Mai just four days after Rochelle gave birth
New father Marvin Humes has tweeted the first picture of his and wife Rochelle Humes’ newborn daughter.

The proud former JLS singer shared the image on Friday showing him smiling while cradling his baby girl – Alaia-Mai – which he captioned ‘Daddy’s Girl’.

The touching snap, which shows the letters ‘M,R,A’ on the wall in the background, comes just four days after his wife Rochelle gave birth.

The X Factor winner , who had a No.1 with the Leonard Cohen song in 2008, has left Sony and signed with a huge US management company – and the man behind Def Jam Records.

Alex, 24, jetted off to New York at the weekend to begin work with new boss, Kevin Liles. who launched the careers of Jay-Z and Kayne West.

I’m told: “Kevin met Alex and was really impressed by her. He thinks she can be a global star. She is releasing an album later this year.”

The British ‘X Factor’ winners update ’90s female R&B with debut album ‘DNA.’
British girl group Little Mix is poised to invade America like One Direction did last year. The group, which consists of Perrie Edwards, 19; Jesy Nelson, 21; Leigh-Anne Pinnock, 21; and Jade Thirlwall, 20, won the British edition of The X Factor in 2011, the year after One Direction placed third. A two-week, eight-state U.S. promotional tour starts Monday, and debut album DNA comes out here Tuesday. The group appears on the cover of the June/July issue of Seventeen magazine, and its American television debut, on Good Morning America June 7, could help make girl-power anthem Wings this year’s What Makes You Beautiful.

They’re the darlings of the UK pop music scene and now Little Mix are cementing their status in America – by landing the cover of one of the country’s biggest teen magazines.

The X Factor winners appear in the latest issue of Seventeen magazine, where they talk style, friendship and getting advice from another rather popular band from the UK.

Leigh-Anne Pinnock said: ‘I asked the boys from One Direction how to make it in America and they basically said: “Be yourself and you can’t go wrong”.
