Daily Star reports Andrea Faustini signed a record deal with RCA Records! Sam Bailey talks to Radio Times about her departure from Syco.

Andrea living the US dream: X Factor star set to record in L.A
X FACTOR finalist Andrea Faustini has signed a big-bucks record deal.

The pug-loving Italian flies to LA next week to start work on his debut album, which will be released later this year with RCA.

I’m told the cuddly singer with the big pipes had caused a furious bidding war between various labels within the Sony group.

The album will consist of mainly original songs penned by some of the world’s best songwriters.

According to my sources, Andrea’s Italian friends and family will also be international release.

My music mole revealed: “Andrea signed a deal with RCA after weeks of discussions with various labels within Sony.

“Label bosses are confident he can be an international star with the right songs and are on the lookout for some of the world’s best writers to work with him.

“There may be one or two covers but the album will be predominantly original material.

“In fact, some songs have already been submitted for him which are big, epic power ballads.”

You might not have discovered Ella Henderson’s slam-dunk pop song “Ghost” yet, but everyone in the United Kingdom most certainly has—and it’s only a matter of time before Henderson makes an equal splash in the States. She’s on track to, now that her debut album, Chapter One, has dropped and she’s popping up all over America with her platinum single. The 19-year-old British singer—who first broke out as the favorite to win the ninth season of The X Factor (she placed sixth)—most recently took her turn on the NBA All-Star Game, with appearances on Tuesday’s The View and Wednesday’s Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon also on the docket. Sam Bailey: I didn’t want to stay at Syco for another covers album – I’m better than that
“I want to be a recognised artist in my own right by doing my own stuff,” says the X Factor winner after departing Simon Cowell’s record label
X Factor 2013 winner Sam Bailey says she’s received messages of concern from fans following her recent split with Simon Cowell’s record label Syco Music, but insists she’s happy with the decision because it means she can now concentrate on her own music.

“As grateful as I am for the platform, I want somebody to take me seriously as a singer. I’m better than a cover album singer and I want to be able to prove that,” Bailey tells RadioTimes.com.

“[Syco] has got all of the new X Factor contestants and I’m no longer up there with them. I’m kind of like the smaller fish. If you look at the people that Syco have got on their books – I’m pushing 40 – so I kind of feel like they don’t feel they can market me.

“I would prefer to be free to go out and do my own thing. I certainly don’t want to be, ‘Oh, let’s just get Sam Bailey to do another covers album’. I want to be a recognised artist in my own right by doing my own stuff.”

She’s back on the music scene with a jazzy new album and a sweet baby to look after.

But Rebecca Ferguson has made it clear that she’s spending this time to enjoy singing, her baby daughter Arabella, and not getting hung up about losing her pregnancy weight.

‘I’m really happy in my own skin, it’s other people who aren’t happy,’ Rebecca exclusively tells MailOnline.

‘People say “Oh, Becky don’t you want to lose a few pounds”, and I’m like “I’m really content, I’m the happiest I’ve ever been”. It’s funny how the world [perceives] how you should be after pregnancy now, they think you should snap back into shape especially if you’re in the public eye.

‘I say it’s OK to enjoy your baby.’

The singer gave birth to her third child, daughter Arabella, last October though the father of the child ended the relationship and shunned his parental responsibilities.

EXCLUSIVE: Cowell reveals BBC’s plot to steal X Factor and BGT
SIMON Cowell has revealed how desperate telly bosses tried to poach him from ITV.

In 2013 he agreed a new multi-million pound deal with ITV for both his biggest hits – securing them until late 2016. But he has now revealed how other networks attempted to snatch them in a ruthless bid to boost ratings.

Simon said: “Other people want X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent – that’s why I don’t get nervous when I meet with ITV.
