Alex and Sierra hit #1 on iTunes earlier today. Somewhere, bacon is levitating.
8:11: We finish a montage of everybody preparing/panicking last week. Now we lose the first contestant. Which judge will have nothing to do soon??
8:13: Demi loses Ellona Santiago. Paulina’s quality judging continues another week.
8:14: Demi complains that great people are going home. Including Ellona. We are treated to Ellona’s story so far.
8:20: Rion is the only girl left. Only in the sense of her category. Emblem 3 returns to perform “Just for One Day” and X Factor makes sure you don’t forget what show they were on and things they have won as they flash it on the screen.
8:28: Time to cut one more contestant/group. But just cutting them would save time, so we’ll just call the safe ones. Restless Road is safe. As is Alex and Sierra, so Simon’ll be judging next week. Last act safe from the showdown, Jeff Gutt, Kelly’s elastic.
8:31: Rion Paige versus Carlito Olivero. Will Paulina get to stage design again? Find out after the break.
8:34: Little Mix (yay!) come out to prefer “Move”.
8:42: We still don’t know who is going to continue the competition! Well maybe we should have had them perform ear-fine. Let’s do this. Rion Paige performs Miranda Lambert’s “The House That Built Me”.
8:48: Paulina’s last contestant (boo) Carlito Olivero performs Usher’s “You Make Me Wanna” and dances with a woman in the crowd. She ends up being Demi’s sister. Whoops!
8:52: Rion’s done soo much! She just wanted to show American she can sing! (Okay she didn’t actually say that last one) Carlito’s an underdog! Desperation is in the air! Demi after drawing it out votes to send out Carlito. Paulina does the same, stressing how hard this vote is, votes to send out Rion. Now that the two obvious votes are done…
8:55: Kelly goes the diplomatic route, giving both people compliments. She ultimately votes against Rion. It’s all down to Simon. I have a feeling we’re gonna deadlock but Simon does it and sends home Rion! Rion is eliminated. Which means Paulina will be still have a horse in this race! A montage follows.
