Watch contemporary duo Jake & Chau perform to “Chainsmoking” by Jacob Banks during the World of Dance Duels for judges Ne-Yo, Jennifer Lopez, Derek Hough and guest judge, tWitch.
The two wowed the panel with their impassioned choreography and surprising moves. “Incredible job,” gushed Derek. “It was so beautiful, and interesting, and innovative.” He was especially impressed by their transitions and lifts. He jokingly compared it to “Mexican wrestling!”
tWitch loved it too, but he wanted to see more “side by side” dancing adding that “it would be super impactful.” Jennifer agreed with tWitch, adding that “the rest of it was so impressive…it pushed the boundaries and edges.”
Ne-Yo got picky, noting the few moments they were off-time. “I got to count that,” he said. “I don’t want to, but i have to.” He reminded the audience that the competition is for 1 million dollars (!!!). After Jake & Chau did their thing, Josh & Erica performed. The winner of the duel moves on the next round.
