The Rocky Horror Picture Show, a brand-new reimagining of the cult-classic midnight movie 40 years in the making, is set to air October 2016. Sweethearts Janet (Victoria Justice, “Victorious”) and Brad (Ryan McCartan, “Liv & Maddie,” “Heathers the Musical”) stumble upon mad scientist Dr. Frank-N-Furter’s (Emmy Award-nominated actress Laverne Cox, “Orange is the New Black”) bizarre abode during his annual Transylvanian science convention.
The two-hour event also features American Idol alum Adam Lambert as Eddie, the rock ‘n’ roll-loving ex-delivery boy who crashes the party Reeve Carney as Riff Raff, (Penny Dreadful,Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark), Staz Nair (Rocky, Game of Thrones), Christina Milian as Magenta, Annaleigh Ashford as Columbia (Sylvia, You Can’t Take It With You, Masters of Sex), Tony Award winner Ben Vereen and Emmy Award nominee Tim Curry, the original Frank-N-Furter.
The first trailer is out! Sorry, no preview of Adam Lambert as Eddie, but it does offer a taste of what to expect from some of the other stars, including Laverne Cox who offers a different yet still delicious take on Frank-N-Furter.
