Here they are! Your first American Idol season 15 promos. The three spots ran during Wednesday night’s (Nov 8) 51st Annual CMA Awards. Earlier this week, Ryan Seacrest announced on Live with Kelly & Ryan that the ABC reboot of the icon competition reality show will return on Sunday March 11. That’s one week after the Academy Awards.
Judges Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie and host Ryan Seacrest are featured prominently in the ads. Also, we catch a glimpse of a few hopefuls that I’m sure we’ll see during auditions.
More promo: ESPN Sunday NFL Countdown (Nov 12 10 am) will spotlight the audition of Detroit Lions player Marvin Jones Jr. in Nashville. Read the article linked at ESPN. The man is serious. He’s been singing in choirs since he was a kid.
Not only can @MarvinJonesJr catch TD passes on MNF … he can also do this ??

Luke Bryan is a country artist who performed on the CMAs. It made perfect sense to air this spot, highlighting past CMA wins. Perhaps later in the month, during the American Music Awards, Katy and Lionel will be featured in their own promos.
American Idol season 4 winner Carrie Underwood co-hosted the CMAs with Brad Paisley, so of course we got a look at her now famous 2004 audition.
It’s morning in America people. The sun comes up, as the Idol bus makes its way across the country. An acoustic version of the Neil Diamond classic underpins the visual. Here’s where we get a good look at a few fresh faces. The new color scheme adds a little bright pink to the traditional blue. It goes without saying…I’m liking it.
