See? It’s all coming together! THR offers further confirmation to the rumor that the judges will each add a wild card contestant to the Top 10 hopefuls voted in by viewers this week.
An Idol insider tells The Hollywood Reporter that following the elimination of seven guys and seven girls from the Top 24 (airing Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of this week), a wild card round will determine three additional finalists, to be chosen by each of the judges, Randy Jackson, Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler.
I reported earlier today that the Idol finale is set for May 24th and 25th (I know other sites are not reporting this, but trust me IT’S HAPPENING, unless TPTB change their minds.).
If you count backwards, that allows for one elimination a week, running up to the Top 2 on May 24.
