The Voice live shows continue tonight with the first results show of the season where the Top 12 become the Top 9. The bottom four will perform for the instant save. Coaches John Legend and Reba McEntire will also perform.

The show opens with Reba McEntire taking the stage with her new song “I Can’t.”

Getting right to the results, the first three artists who are safe are… Asher HaVon, Maddi Jane, Nathan Chester.

Also safe are… Madison Curbelo and Josh Sanders.

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of “Ordinary People,” John Legend takes the stage to perform the song.

Back to the results. The next safe artists are… Bryan Olesen, Serenity Arce, Karen Waldrup.

L. Rodgers, Tae Lewis, Zoe Levert and Nadege will perform for the instant save.

Team Reba – L. Rodgers – “Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me”

She’s putting her uniqueness into this song and her beautiful falsetto at the end.

Reba says that was enough and more and she’s got the power and soul.

Team Chance – Nadege – “Smooth Operator”

Such a unique song choice, but it’s the completely wrong fit for her voice unfortunately.

John calls it beautiful and says it’s her zone. Chance says it was the perfect song choice. (They clearly didn’t hear the same thing I heard).

Team Legend – Zoe Levert – “Slow Burn”

Zoe is just so similar to Taylor Swift, I’m not the only one who sees this, right? Really pretty voice on this song.

John chants her name, then says it was his favorite performance of hers and compliments her cracks and falsetto moments.

Team Dan and Shay – Tae Lewis – “The Church On Cumberland Road”

Tae always just puts on such a fun performance. This is another one that’s just fun to watch.

Dan and Shay say they can hear it in his voice, see it in his eyes and see it in his soul that he wants to be here.

The final artist who is safe is… Tae Lewis.

Nadege, Zoe Levert and L. Rodgers are eliminated.
