The Voice 25 Top 12: Vote for your favorite performance, predict who will leave the competition
The Voice season 25 Live Shows finally began on Monday (May 6). And for the first time this season, fans determine which artists move on to the next round. And speaking of voting, it’s time for readers to vote in our polls. A few hours before the results show begins at 8 pm ET/PT, we’ll post your results and our predictions. (Read our Recap)
Just like The Voice 24 last fall, the live shows will air over three weeks, including the two part finale on May 20 and 21. Next week, The Top 9 will compete in the semi-finals, revealing a Top 5. And as it’s become tradition, an Instant Save vote during the results show for the Top 12 and the Top 9 semi-final will determine one of the artists moving on. Interesting that a couple of singers, L. Rodgers for instance, were basically “long time no see” when greeting their coaches in rehearsal. NBC filmed season 24 and season 25 at the same time. Season 24 Playoffs taped at the end of September, while season 25 playoffs filmed during the first week of October! Season 24 live shows began first Monday and Tuesday in December–two months after filming completed. On the other hand, the Top 12 went about SEVEN MONTHS waiting to compete on the Lives! That’s a long time to keep a secret.
Who will leave the competition Tuesday night? (May 7). Viewers can only vote ONCE so choose wisely! My favorite performances of the night were “Happier Together” from Maddi Jane, “Up to the Mountain,” from L. Rodgers and “Stick Season” from Zoe Levert. Nadage was also impressive, covering a Jill Scott song. Her jazz stylings may be too sophisticated for a singing show, however. Hopefully not!
