The Voice 24 Knockouts: Claudia B., Huntley, Noah Spencer leave Niall Horan with a difficult decision to make
The Voice 24 Knockouts continue this week, kicking off on Monday with more outstanding performances. Check out a preview of Team Niall Horan artists Claudia B., Huntley and Noah Spencer fighting for a spot in the Playoffs.
After the trio perform their song selections–Claudia B. sings Norah Jones’ “Don’t Know Why,” Huntley takes on Bon Jovi’s “Wanted Dead or Alive” and Noah Spencer sings The SteelDrivers’ “Where Rainbows Never Die”–Niall is left with a difficult decision to make.
“Someone do something here please!” Niall begs his fellow coaches. “How are you going to do this?” John Legend asks. “I’m going to need you to help me!” Niall responds.
Gwen Stefani remarks, “This is impossible, because that was incredible!” She compliments Claudia’s “instinct and tone” and her artistry. “I just enjoyed it,” she says. Gwen wonders if Huntley has ever sung out of tune in his life. “It was so good. I’m shocked that you’re not already on the radio.” She tells Noah that he has something that’s “very very rare” adding, “You’re so authentic. I think you have a huge career outside of this show.”
John notes that Claudia is formerly of Team Legend. But he feels like this performance was the first time that he got to see “the full you in all of your glory.” He compliments her musicianship and creativity. Huntley, says John is “so thoroughly perfect and excellent every single time.” He adds, “All of that you’re doing, keep doing it.” John declares that he just became a Noah fan. “This performance was gorgeous,” says John. “I can’t believe Niall has to choose between you three. All of them deserve to continue.”
“The best Knockout I’ve ever seen on this show”
Reba McEntire compares Claudia to Nora. “But then you took off on your own style.” She notes that Huntley made the perfect song choice. “You look like you’re coming out of a Viking movie,” she jokes, adding, “It’s always wonderful to listen to you and watch you perform.” Noah’s down-home performance rendered Reba misty-eyed. “You made me feel that warmth, like I’m sitting on that back porch in my porch swing.” Because Noah’s performance made her nostalgic, she’d pick him.
“That’s the best Knockout I’ve ever seen on this show,” Niall declares. He calls Claudia “magic,” while he compliments Huntley’s ability to hold his energy back and make it dynamic. Niall marvels at Noah’s “growth” throughout the competition. “You made the queen cry!”
“Something special just happened in these three performances,” Niall says, “I really really hope that none of you have to leave here.” Will Niall use his save? Or will another coach use their steal? Tune in to NBC on Monday November 13 at 8 pm ET/PT to find out.
