The episode begins with teams booking flights to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam on a travel app. At the airport, Becca & Floyd explain why they used the U-Turn to Tyler & Korey. Tyler & Korey tell them that that’s not the kind of game they are trying to play. Later, Rachel & Elissa also apologize to them for using the U-Turn, but Becca & Floyd admit in a confessional that they are still planning for revenge. Rachel & Elissa also approach Nicole & Victor and Janelle & Britney to form a Big Brother alliance. They all agree, and they promise not to U-Turn each other. All teams are also on the same flight.
All the teams land at Vietnam, and there is a mad dash out of the airport as they scramble for taxis. They must make their way to a medicine house. Tyler & Korey and Colin & Christie are the first teams to arrive there, and they receive their next clue from a doctor. They learn they have a Detour to complete: Reel It In or Light It Up. Reel It In requires teams to catch prawns. Light It Up requires teams to stay in step with a dance crew while wearing outfits that light up in the dark. More teams arrive at the medicine house and choose which Detour they want to complete. Most teams choose Light It Up. When Corinne & Eliza arrive, Leo & Jamal trick them by shouting “It’s not here!” as they leave to confuse them. Their trick works, but Corinne & Eliza quickly realize that they were lying.
Colin & Christie, Becca & Floyd, and Rachel & Elissa practice the dance steps for the Light It Up Detour as Tyler & Korey arrive at the Reel It In Detour. They must catch eight prawns, but a long time passes without catching any prawns. Meanwhile, Becca & Floyd attempt the dance routine, but they fail their first attempt. The judge tells them that they need more energy. Meanwhile, Britney & Janelle and Leo & Jamal get lost on the way to the Detour. They end up arriving at a wedding instead.
Korey finally catches one prawn, but he and Tyler are wondering if they should switch Detours since they’ve already spent a long time at the Reel It In Detour. Meanwhile, Becca & Floyd pass the Light It Up Detour on their next attempt. They are in first place and receive their next clue. They learn they have a Roadblock next, and Floyd chooses to do it. He must perform karaoke to receive their next clue. Next, Rachel & Elissa and Colin & Christie fail the Light It Up Detour on their first attempts.
Tyler & Korey catch a second prawn as Corinne & Eliza arrive. They start trying to catch prawns, and Corinne & Eliza are realizing it’s a waiting game. Meanwhile, Elissa is struggling with the Light It Up Detour, and Nicole & Victor fail their first attempt too. Back at the Reel It In Detour, Corinne & Eliza catch their first prawn.
Leo & Jamal and Janelle & Britney finally find the Light It Up Detour. Chris & Bret are there too, and these three teams are learning the routine. While they are practicing, Colin & Christie and Nicole & Victor complete the Light It Up Detour and can make their way to the Roadblock.
All the remaining teams at the Light It Up Detour are struggling, especially Rachel & Elissa. They say they have been there for hours now. Meanwhile, Corinne & Eliza are having success catching prawns. At the Roadblock, Floyd is learning his Vietnamese karaoke song.
Corinne & Eliza catch all eight prawns and can make their way to the Roadblock. Chris & Bret attempt the Light It Up Detour, and the fail on their first attempt. Instead of trying again, they immediately switch and make their way to the Reel It In Detour.
Floyd performs his karaoke song and successfully completes the Roadblock. He and Becca can now make their way to Ho Thi Ky. “From worst to first!” they cheer as they make their way to the Pit Stop.
While Chris & Bret are waiting to catch more prawns, Tyler & Korey finally catch eight prawns. They can make their way to the Roadblock. Back at the Light It Up Detour, Rachel & Elissa finally complete the routine successfully. Janelle & Britney complete it too. The only teams working on Detours now are Chris & Bret at Reel It In and Leo & Jamal at Light It Up. Chris & Bret finally complete their task and can make their way to the Roadblock.
Colin, Victor, and Eliza are learning their Vietnamese song, and Victor is the first one of them to attempt it. He passes it on his first attempt; he and Nicole can now make their way to the Pit Stop. Colin fails on his first attempt as Tyler arrives and begins learning the song.
Leo & Jamal finally complete the Light It Up Detour, but they are still in last place. Colin completes his karaoke performance successfully as Rachel & Elissa arrive (with Rachel learning the song). Colin & Christie can make their way to the Pit Stop.
Becca & Floyd arrive at Ho Thi Ky and greet Phil at the Pit Stop. Becca & Floyd are Team #1! They also win a trip to the Bahamas. Becca & Floyd were eliminated in Vietnam in their previous season, so they are thrilled to win the leg this time. “Redemption has never been so fun,” Floyd says.
Janelle & Britney arrive at the Roadblock, and Janelle and Rachel help each other learn the song. Meanwhile, Tyler and Eliza complete the Roadblock as Nicole & Victor greet Phil as Team #2. Afterwards, Colin & Christie greet Phil as Team #3. Leo & Jamal finally arrive at the karaoke Roadblock. The other teams still there are Rachel & Elissa, Janelle & Britney, and Chris & Bret.
Leo, Janelle, Rachel, and Bret learn the song. Leo attempts to complete the task without practicing, and he fails on his first attempt. Chris and Rachel also struggle, but Janelle completes the task. Tyler & Korey and Corinne & Eliza arrive at the Pit Stop as Team #4 and Team #5 respectively.
Rachel and Leo finally complete the Roadblock, leaving Chris & Bret in last place. However, Bret finally completes the task.
Janelle & Britney greet Phil as Team #6. They tell Phil they are showing moms can do anything. And right behind them are Rachel & Elissa. Janelle & Britney call out to them so they don’t miss the mat. Phil tells Janelle & Britney to let them know what place they are in, and they tell them they are Team #7. Leo & Jamal join them on the mat minutes later, and they are Team #8.
Chris & Bret are the last team to arrive at the Pit Stop (and after Janelle & Britney, Rachel & Elissa, and Leo & Jamal have left). However, Phil gives them the good news: It is a non-elimination leg.
