Survivor 32 Kaoh Rong – Week 9 Live Blog

A new episode of Survivor: Koah Rong airs tonight on CBS. Read a live recap and join the discussion here.

After tribal council, the guys give kudos to the girls for the blindside. However, they realize they are on the bottom of the tribe. Tai is also worried about his decision to tell the others about the super idol at tribal council. He also panicked and voted for Jason. He tries to make amends by reminding Scot and Jason that he has the other hidden immunity idol that can form into the super idol when combined with Jason’s idol. The three of them agree they will use the super idol against the girls at the upcoming vote if they need to. In addition, Scot and Jason want to weaken the girls by hiding the machete and ax. This makes Tai uncomfortable since he doesn’t want to do something so dirty. On the morning of Day 23, Scot and Jason hide the tools while Joe is tending to the fire. Jason calls it psychological warfare.

Later in the day, Debbie comments on how poor sports Jason and Scot are. The tribe also notices the tools missing, and everyone knows it was Scot and Jason who hid them. However, the rest of the tribe manages to make do without the tools. This frustrates Scot, so he decides to be an immature jerk and pour the canteen of water over the fire. Scot and Jason want to make life miserable for others just because they didn’t get their way at the last tribal council.

It’s time for the reward challenge. Jeff asks how the tribe is doing, and Aubry and Debbie tell him about the sabotage. Scot says the others don’t deserve his help. Jeff then reveals to them that they can pick teams for the challenge. Tai, Jason, and Scot are one team, and Julia decides to go with them. Michele, Cydney, Aubry, and Debbie are on the other team. Joe sits out and picks the girls to win. If he’s right, he’ll get to enjoy reward too (Chinese takeout). The challenge begins, and they are all tied around the waist by ropes and must unravel them. Afterwards, they must knock down blocks by throwing sand bags at them. The first team to knock down the blocks win reward. Debbie does a great job at knocking down the blocks, but Scot and Jason manage to knock down the blocks first. Tai, Scot, Jason, and Julia win reward. Aubry says in her confessional that Julia is very untrustworthy since she’s trying to put herself in a good position with Scot and Jason.

After the challenge, the winning team enjoys the Chinese food. Julia also says she wants to work with Scot and Jason in the long run. In her confessional, she says Scot and Jason are never going to get a jury to vote either of them the winner. Scot and Jason are happy to have her on their side. However, the other girls have become suspicious of her flipping. When Julia asks Debbie what the plan is for the upcoming tribal council after the reward, Cydney is well aware that Julia has flipped. She knows Julia is trying to get information to help Scot and Jason. Cydney and Aubry then talk privately and agree Julia needs to be the next one voted out.

Late at night, Tai decides to pour water on the fire. He says he’s committed to the guys, even though he feels bad about putting out the fire. The next morning, the tribe notices that the fire went out and are angry. They assume it was either Scot or Jason. Aubry and Debbie talk about the vote. Debbie says it has to be Scot or Jason out next, but Aubry thinks they need to vote out Julia to flush out the idols. She knows Jason and Scot could have an idol to save themselves with, so she wants to make the safest move and vote out Julia. However, Debbie absolutely refuses to vote out Julia and says Scot or Jason must be the next one out.

It’s time for the immunity challenge. They will have to stack blocks like dominoes while trying not to trip over wires. The first person to have their blocks go down domino style and hit a gong will win immunity. Several of them have their blocks fall down, allowing Michele to get ahead. Michele tries to have her blocks go down in order first, but she falls short. Michele has to redo it. Debbie is the next to try it, but her blocks fall short too. Jason is the next to try it, but he falls too. Debbie tries once again, but is unsuccessful. Julia gives it a try, and she’s successful. Julia wins immunity! This means that Aubry’s plan to vote out Julia has gone out the window.

After the immunity challenge, Debbie tells the plan to split the vote between Scott, Jason, and Tai. However, she says this right in front of Julia, and Julia runs right to Scot and tells him the plan. Scot then says he, Jason, Julia, and Tai will then vote out Cydney. Cydney and Aubry are frustrated with Debbie for trusting Julia, so now they contemplate voting out Debbie. Aubry and Cydney believe it might be the best move to save themselves. Cydney and Michele tell Julia the plan to vote out Debbie before tribal council, and she seems to be on board. She believes playing both sides have given her a lot of power.

It’s time for tribal council. Debbie is unhappy about Scot and Jason sabotaging the tribe. There’s talk about the division, and then idols. Tai says that idols will likely be played tonight. Scot then reveals to everyone that Tai has an idol. He says he is safe. Afterwards, Jason stands up and shows his idol. There’s now a lot of whispering among the tribe as they confirm how they are going to vote. Scot and Jason say that they will play rock-paper-scissors to decide who will play the idol between them. It’s a crazy tribal council as the upcoming vote is very up in the air.

They all cast their votes. Before Jeff reads the votes, he asks if anyone wants to play an idol. Jason and Scot stand up and play rock-paper-scissors. However, they decide to just hand Tai the idol, and he does not play it. They just put on a pointless show for the tribe.

Jeff reads the votes. The first vote is for…

Scot

Cydney

Scot

Cydney

Cydney

Debbie

Debbie

Debbie

Debbie

Debbie is voted out and the third member of the jury. Darn, the chauvinists Scot and Jason are still in the game and in possession of an idol too.
